It has been claimed that Prince Harry is not the same man he used to be before tying the knot with Meghan Markle in 2018, as a royal expert claimed he was “unquestionably changed.”
And on Saturday, during his appearance at the Global Citizen Live in Central Park, New York, Prince Harry, with his wife by his side, seems to confirm that he is a new man who has finally understood his role on this planet.
The lavish wedding brought many changes for the Duke of Sussex, including abandoning his senior royal position, leaving the UK, which ultimately led to the deterioration of his bond with Prince William.
According to royal insider Richard Fitzwilliams, many people thought there was a great rivalry between the two brothers, mainly because Prince William would ascend the throne one day and Prince Harry had “no defined role.”
The royal expert also stated it was widely believed that Prince Harry “resented not being taken seriously” despite his military accomplishments and charitable efforts.
However, it seems that following his marriage to Meghan Markle, the Duke of Sussex’s opinion on life with the royal family dramatically changed.
During his interview with Oprah Winfrey, he stated that he felt “trapped” and that Prince William was also “trapped,” but his brother did not realize it yet.
Many royal experts claimed that after the infamous tell-all interview, the relationship between the two brothers, who were once inseparable, only deteriorated further.
The royal commentator shared: “Harry’s reputation was as the royal wild child for years, William’s image was far more serious however he behaved. Some say Harry resented not being taken seriously, despite his military service and charitable work. Harry now believes he was trapped as a member of the royal family and that William currently is but doesn’t know it.”
He concluded by: “The rift between them, long reported and first confirmed in the ITV documentary about their South Africa trip, is public and serious. It was his marriage to Meghan which unquestionably changed him.”
During his first major public appearance since “Megxit,” Prince Harry appeared more confident than ever as he addressed world leaders and made a call for them to deliver over one billion COVID-19 vaccines.
Prince Harry, who was once known as the wild and troubled child, took on the role of a man on an important mission who slammed the rich nations for not doing enough to give those in need access to vaccine technology.
He called for a waiver on COVID-19 vaccine intellectual property rights and requested vaccine providers share mRNA technology with the World Health Organization.
The emboldened prince had these words for the wealthier countries: “Guys, we have what we need to vaccinate the world, but the experts told us, here’s what’s getting in the way. They said many countries are ready to produce vaccines at home, but they aren’t allowed to because ultra-wealthy pharmaceutical companies do not share the recipes to make them. These countries have the means, the ability, and the workers to start manufacturing. All they’re waiting for is the vaccine intellectual property to be waived and for the vaccine technology to be transferred over.”
He also reached out to every citizen and told them what role they could play in this life or death cause.
Queen Elizabeth II‘s grandson stated: “And by the way, many of these vaccines were publicly funded. They are your vaccines, and you paid for them.”
Prince Harry and his spouse also visited the United Nations, where they met with UN Deputy Secretary-General Amina Mohammed and spoke about vaccine equality.
