Prince Harry Opens Can Of Worms For Him And His Father — Hurt Prince Charles Is Now Forced To Clear His Name

Prince Harry Charles Statement Affair

Prince Charles is facing a brewing scandal over his business practices. His foundation is linked to the “cash for honors” controversy rocking England.

Prince Charles’s team pushes back after Prince Harry’s digs

His youngest son, Prince Harry, used the situation to show his independence via a strong statement distancing himself from Mahfouz bin Mahfouz, a Saudi billionaire at the center of the story.

With his latest move, Meghan Markle’s husband also threw his father under the bus, and it seems he has managed to get a few jabs in while he was at it.

At first, it seemed Charles was planning to ignore his son’s digs. However, sensing that they might hurt his name and prospects as a King with good ethics, people close to him are now hitting back.

Clarence House has once again repeated that Charles has no knowledge of the “cash for access” allegations. While the comment does not really push back on Harry’s statement, it seems to suggest that Harry never brought the issue to his father’s attention.

Royal expert Peter Hunt believes father and son might be getting themselves in more trouble with the different seemingly contradictory statements.

He explained: “Just one of the many questions the Metropolitan Police could ask father and son if they choose to investigate.”

It is clear that the situation is getting serious for Prince Charles, and some are trying hard for the investigation to go all the way.

Prince Charles’s critics want the police to dig deep

In recent years, the royals have seen their credibility shaken, and Prince Charles’s latest scandal is not going to help restore confidence in the way some members of the family conduct themselves.

Prince Andrew is still dealing with accusations linked to his friendship with late disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein. Some say it is time to investigate the royals like normal citizens.

Norman Baker, who filed a complaint asking for a criminal probe, told the Daily Mail: “The tide of sleaze is lapping at Prince Charles’ door, and his son can see it. Harry is trying to protect himself and is clearly saying to his dad: Don’t drag me into it.”

The former government minister continued: “If police speak to Charles, he will likely tell them: ‘I knew nothing about it.’ If that’s what he says, then Harry’s statement becomes more important, and police may then want to speak to him, although that could be more problematic because he lives abroad.”

The Liberal Democrat concluded: “The police have been reluctant to investigate the Royal Family. They did it with Andrew and are trying to do the same with Charles.”

By taking a few digs at his dad, Harry has opened the door to more scrutiny for both of them. The relationship between the royals remains tense after a very chaotic year.

Prince Charles is the perfect foil for his son, Harry

The California resident uses his father constantly as an example of things not to do. While his dad and brother Prince William are supposedly “trapped” in a life where the pain is “genetic,” Harry has made it clear to the world he chose freedom by leaving the royal sphere.

Harry is now using his father the scandal to highlight a new character flaw, whereas he is an ethical man. The contrarian attitude is puzzling to many.

The author of Harry: A Biography of a Prince, Angela Levin, has said: “Harry’s relationship with his father is rock bottom, for him, but not for his hugely hurt and loving father. He [Harry] seems to need to endlessly attack his loving father to feel powerful, especially now that Prince Charles no longer feeds him large amounts of money.”

She continued: “It’s the same old thing from Harry and Meghan. Be compassionate to those you know and don’t know, but I am going to attack my family and especially my father.”

Some observers are already predicting that the younger prince will use his tell-all book that will be out next year to settle more scores with his father.
