Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are the two people who have publicly spoken or ranted about their high-profile divorce.
The two billionaires are both respected and feared in the entertainment world (they can put anyone on blast with one tweet); therefore, not many famous names have dared to share their opinion on the split in the past months.
That was then, and this is now. Kanye West’s ex-girlfriend and Kim Kardashian’s one-time frenemy, Amber Rose, has decided to speak up during a new interview.
The model and activist appeared on an episode of the It’s Tricky With Raquel Harper podcast, where she was asked if she was surprised to learn that Kanye West and Kim Kardashian went their separate ways.
Amber Rose did not hold back and said that she knew it was coming and added: “Of course [I saw their divorce coming].”
She explained that she is happy that Kardashian has found love again with former Saturday Night Live star Pete Davidson.
The influencer claimed: “I never really thought about [their marriage] much, but then when they finally got divorced, I was like ‘Mmm. [Kardashian] seems happy now, though, with Pete [Davidson].”
Rose, who was unceremoniously dumped by West, also revealed that she never wished him or Kardashian ill.
She said: “I always hope for the best for them. I never had any ill feelings, like, ‘I hope they get divorced,’ or ‘He’s going to get his day. I was just happy in my marriage at the time with Wiz Khalifa, or even after just doing my thing.”
Following their brutal breakup, Kanye West and Amber Rose had many nasty fights that climaxed with him making these comments via a viral interview in 2015: “It’s very hard for a woman to want to be with someone that’s with Amber Rose — I had to take 30 showers before I got with Kim. She’s just soaking at the moment. Don’t nobody feel compelled to do nothing? If Kim had like dated me when I first wanted to be with her, there wouldn’t be an Amber Rose.”
Rose was quick to respond with: “Wait, 30 showers? But Kim let RayJ nut on her…. Never mind.”
In 2022, Rose revisited the bitter episode and showed growth and maturity by saying: “I never got an apology for his ’30 showers’ comment, but f–k it. I started my Slutwalk and helped millions of women around the world stand up for themselves against slut shaming, so something amazing came out of it. Kim nor her sisters deserved that tweet, and y’all shouldn’t co-sign it either. S–t was old and immature of me to involve the KarDASHians in the mess HE made. Moving forward, learn from my mistakes. We all have kids, and family’s life is hard enough right now for a lot of ppl [sic]. I just want to spread love and positivity.”
The influencer has evolved.
