There has been a lot of ink spilled over the relationship that might or might not exist between Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, and Queen Elizabeth II.
In his most recent interview with NBC, Prince Harry revealed that he is still very close with his grandmother.
He told the TODAY Show: “Being with her; it was great. It was just so nice to see her. She’s in great form. She’s always got a great sense of humor with me, and I’m just making sure that she’s, you know, protected and got the right people around her.”
He added: “We have a really special relationship, and we talk about things that she can’t talk about with anybody else. So that’s always a nice piece to it.”

Meghan Markle, who rarely does interviews, had some kind words for the aging Monarch when she had her explosive sit-down with Oprah Winfrey.
The retired American actress explained that while she did go through some very tough times while a working member of the royal family, Queen Elizabeth has been nothing but kind and warm to her.
Markle said that the Queen reminded her of her own grandmother and went on to explain: “So, there’s the family, and then there’s the people that are running the institution. Those are two separate things. And it’s important to be able to compartmentalize that because the Queen, for example, has always been wonderful to me. I mean, we had one of our first joint engagements together. She asked me to join her.”
Prince Harry added: “I’ve never blindsided my grandmother. I have too much respect for her.”

He went on to reveal: “She was worried about how unhappy and unsettled they were. So, I was told at one point that she was going around to see them to make sure they were okay.”
