Many royal watchers were surprised to learn that King Charles III received a special video from his grandchildren in California.
Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, called His Majesty for his 75th birthday and sent him a sweet video of Archie and Lilibet singing Happy Birthday.
The revelation led to the following question: “What is next for His Majesty and his American/British grandchildren?”
The King has not seen the little ones in over a year, and he will not be traveling to the United States to see them.
So the best possible option is for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to fly to London with Archie and Lilibet to spend some quality time with their grandfather.
Oddly enough, a source close to Prince Harry has revealed that he is fed up that his children are growing up without knowing what a proper British Christmas is, and he wants to change that.
The person in the know told OK! the last time Prince Harry was in his native country for the holiday was in 2018, and right about now an invitation for The King would be welcomed.
The source claimed: “Although they haven’t visited Sandringham since 2018, an invitation has been extended to them in previous years, bar the Covid years. It was made clear to them that the door is always open at big royal family occasions for the children’s sake.”
In the Netflix docuseries, Prince Harry confessed that he missed being with his family and taking part in the royal traditions.
He said: “The weird family gatherings when we’re all brought together under one roof for certain times of the year.”
The source added: “Harry always enjoyed large family Christmases. It’s a shame that his children will miss out on the fun. He used to say that nobody could celebrate Christmas like the Windsors. He experienced that festive togetherness for his entire life until his move to America and he misses it. The Christmas plans are causing a bit of tension because he’s fed up with being away from everyone during key milestones.”
Normally, it would be claimed that Meghan Markle said, “Hell no, her children are not going to Europe” because of security issues, racism, or because they are unwelcome.
However, it has been confirmed that Markle is now supporting Prince Harry’s decision to let bygones be bygones and reconnect with King Charles.
So, there is a possibility that there will be a Christmas miracle in the shape of an invitation to Sandringham after the trio talks next week.
