TikTok Video Shows Teenage Girl Dancing Minutes Before Death, Grieving Mother Demands Answers

A TikTok video showing the moments before Kalecia “Pinky” Williams, a teenage girl from Georgia, was shot dead just after Christmas Day has raised even more questions for her grieving family.

Kalecia “Pinky” Williams was 16 when she was shot and killed just minutes after midnight on December 26, and not long after, she had been recording a video of herself dancing to be posted on the social media site TikTok.

The heart-wrenching video shows Williams twerking in a hotel room before being interrupted by someone who enters the room.

At the time, her family believes she was going to a party in an Airbnb, but later discovered she had been staying in a Hyatt Regency hotel in Atlanta with just one other person.

When the person comes into the room, Kalecia Williams seems surprised and switches off her camera, ending the video.

A teenage boy — who has been described as an “acquaintance” of Williams — was charged with murder and aggravated assault following the incident.

He cannot be named for legal reasons as he is under the age of 18. He has also been charged with reckless conduct and possession of a weapon by a minor.

It is not known at present who booked the hotel room for Kalecia Williams and the other person, but it is thought to be a parent who made the booking under her own name.

April Smith — the mother of Kalecia Williams — says she needs “answers” about what happened in the minutes between her daughter recording the video to her death at 12:23 am the same morning.

She criticized the authorities for taking so long to alert her of Kalecia’s death, saying that the phone call she received was from the morgue eight hours after her daughter died.

The grieving mother said: “What happened after she made that last TikTok video at 12:02 a.m. and she was dead at 12:23 a.m.? I need answers.”

Speaking of the parent who booked the hotel room for her daughter, April Smith believes she should be held partly accountable.

April Smith went on to reveal: “She was responsible for getting the hotel room for these minors. The hotel room was in her name, so I feel like she should be held accountable for my daughter’s death as well.”

The case has sparked a lot of conversations on social media, with many people suggesting that there is way more to the story.

Some are also hoping that the other parent involved will make a public statement to tell their version of the story.
