Earlier today, Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, proved once more that they play by their own set of rules, and nothing will change that.
The pair also revealed that they are compulsive and they are unable or unwilling to follow Prince William and Kate Middleton‘s lead.
Several videos and photos of Markle and Prince Harry exiting Westminster Hall have gone viral because the couple had a PDA moment during Queen Elizabeth II‘s procession.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex took separate cars as they traveled to Westminster Hall.
Royal rules and protocols put in place for The Queen‘s funeral had Prince William, Prince Harry, and King Charles III walking behind Queen Elizabeth II’s coffin.
As for Middleton, Markle, and Camilla Parker Bowles, they arrived at the service via separate cars. Therefore, Prince Harry and Markle were apart for several minutes.

However, the inevitable happened as soon as they were reunited; the affectionate couple held hands and never let go. Royal fans were quick to react to the tight bond that the couple shares.
Many praised Markle for ignoring the rules that strongly discouraged royals from showing PDA and for being supportive of her devastated husband; others blasted them for putting on a show.
Some claimed it was time for Prince Harry and Markle to follow Prince William and King Charles’s lead and respect the protocols, especially during this sad moment in England’s history.
Royal and body language expert Judi James weighed in on the chatter surrounding the pair’s decision to show love for each other while in public.
Talking to The Sun, she revealed that Prince Harry and Markle are emotionally impulsive, and therefore, it will be almost impossible for them to adhere to the strict rules that the royal family has of never showing PDA.
Zooming in on Markle and Prince Harry’s decision to immediately interlock fingers when they reunited during the procession, she said it implied “they were both grateful to be back together.”
She added: “Meghan and Harry do seem to break rank to hold hands at the end of the service. It looks like an emotionally impulsive gesture, driven by a need to touch and unite again. But it’s hard to not factor in how Harry was not allowed to appear in uniform like the others – apart from Andrew – so possibly felt less restriction in terms of sustaining royal protocol.”
The experts explained that Prince Harry and Markle are not bound by the Palace rules like Prince William and Middleton because they are independent.
The pair stepped down from their royal duties in 2020 and live in California. Therefore, they are authorized to be relaxed and do things their way.
She stated: “As they walked in line behind William and Kate, they closed up, and both extended their hands to perform their signature hand clasp, with the clasp hanging between them. The way they performed it as soon as they were able suggested the time spent apart and then the moments standing formally together but with a gap between them had been difficult and even painful. Both appeared to relax very slightly once they were back using this affectionate tie-sign again.”
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will never be able to satisfy some of their critics.
