Since the passing of Queen Elizabeth II, the focus has mainly been on the senior members of the royal family. However, Prince George recently managed to grab headlines on his own.
The oldest son of Prince William and Kate Middleton made a rather bold and unexpected comment to a classmate who might have told him something he did not like or approve of.
According to the newly published book, The New Royals: Queen Elizabeth’s Legacy and the Future of the Crown, by royal author Katie Nicholl, during a cheeky exchange with another pupil, the nine-year-old who is heir to the throne made this remark: “My dad will be king, so you better watch out.”
For several months, it was reported by reliable sources that William, Prince of Wales, and his wife had that very important and life-changing talk with their son.
Around Prince George’s seventh’s birthday, Catherine, Princess of Wales, and Prince William revealed to him that he would one day be the King of England.
The remark from the little boy all but confirms that the chat did take place, and he fully understands that his grandfather is King Charles III, the current Sovereign of the UK, and in the future, his father will be Monarch.
Via The Daily Mail, Nicholl claimed in her new book that the future King and Queen Of England have decided to raise their three young children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, with an “awareness” of the monarchy and their future roles within it.
The royal expert shared: “They are raising their children, particularly Prince George, with an awareness of who he is and the role he will inherit, but they are keen not to weigh them down with a sense of duty.”
Nicholl revealed this about the parents’ unique conversation with their child: “George understands he will one day be king.”
In his bestselling book, Battle of Brothers, royal author Robert Lacey revealed that Prince George had been properly informed of his future role as a King of England “sometime around his seventh birthday.”
Thus far, Kate Middleton and Prince William have kept that intimate family moment private, but there is a possibility that one day when Prince George is a young man, he will decide to share that remarkable story with the world.
The royal writer claimed: “Maybe one day George will tell us the story himself.”
The child knows his lineage.
