It seems that Kim Kardashian is not letting her divorce from Kanye West keep her down, au contraire, the reality TV star appears to be more focused than ever and is working hard on building her empire.
The reality star has announced that the shapewear and loungewear company SKIMS has been selected to be the official designer of Team USA that will be competing at the Summer Olympics in Tokyo.
Kanye West’s estranged wife took to Instagram, where she delightfully announced the partnership along with several pictures of the undergarments, pajamas, and loungewear she has designed being modeled by the athletes.
Kim Kardashian also explained that the pieces could be purchased on the SKIMS website.
She penned a message where she paid homage to her former stepfather, Caitlyn Jenner, a gold medal Olympian.
The mother of four wrote: “Ever since I was 10 years old, I’ve heard every single detail about the Olympics from my stepdad. As I would watch the athletes compete, I would grow to understand the dedication and honor being a part of the Olympics embodied. I traveled w my stepdad and family to all different cities for the Olympic trials, the Olympics and track meets of @caitlynjenner’s, and at every stop I would buy an Olympic t-shirt as a souvenir.”
Kim Kardashian has come up with an unusual way to advertise her shapewear SKIMS brand, as the reality television star took to Instagram to show off her new marketing idea.
The 40-year-old Keeping Up with the Kardashians star shared a couple of pictures of what appeared to be a brand new Lamborghini that was completely covered with the same fabric that was used for some of her SKIMS designs.
The former partner of Kanye West posed happily next to the luxurious car in a series of pictures that showed the vehicle from different angles.
For the occasion, Kim Kardashian also sported a couple of her SKIMS creations and posed to the camera dressed in various plush white shapewear sets from the same fabric as the one used for the Lamborghini.
In the title of her post, the socialite wrote, “KIMMY HAD A LITTLE LAMB-BO!!! OMG, is not this the cutest and funniest thing ever???” before continuing with the explanation that her creations would be available in six different colors.
The post proved to be an instant success as it quickly gathered millions of Likes, and a lot of excited fans rushed to the comment section to write their compliments, as many commented with multiple heart emojis.
However, among the well-wishers, there were many that did not appear so impressed with Kim’s marketing strategy.
One Instagram user stated, “there are people that literally can’t afford to eat, and you’re out here doing this,” while another one jokingly wrote, “Return of the sheepdog” in combination with two laughing emojis.
Supporters are happy that their favorite celebrity is going places with her businesses.
