Prince William Finds It Hard Being Stuck Between King Charles And Prince Harry

Prince Harry William Meghan Markle Oprah Winfrey Interview

Prince William is trying to find his place in this world, and it is not easy.

The Prince of Wales finds himself competing with Prince Harry, a very vocal and rock star brother, and his father, King Charles III, who is passionate about and well-versed in specific causes and has mingled with a long list of world leaders throughout the years.

Soon after King Charles inherited the throne from his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, Prince William was thrown immediately into the lion’s den.

He inherited multiple new titles, including the Duke of Cornwall, that are connected to heavy responsibilities.

He is now the head of the Duchy of Cornwall estate, an almost 2 billion dollar business his father carefully grew and managed for decades.

To be his own man during this complex and challenging period of his life, Prince William has decided to break from both his father and brother and forge his own path with high-profile roles that are not too political — even if that means he will leave one side frustrated sometimes.

Prince William is eyeing a leadership role.

He is leading the committee responsible for King Charles’s coronation ceremony — the task is rather thorny in the woke and post-colonialism era.

The Telegraph had this tidbit about Prince William’s undefined role on the committee: “The Prince of Wales is to take an “active role” in planning the coronation of his father, King Charles. The Prince, who is likely to also have a place in the May 6 ceremony itself, is expected to join those on the King’s coronation committee in the coming months to help set the tone for the event. The King’s eldest son will have an active advisory position, taking a keen interest in the ceremony and how it reflects modern Britain.”

Prince William wants to broaden his and the monarchy’s appeal with several overseas trips, the first being to the United States.

Prince William wanted to wear Prince Harry’s hat for a day and deliver a speech in front of the United Nations that dealt with climate change.

However, that was scrapped for two reasons. The first is because it would be too political, and the monarchy and Prince William will not have any of that.

And the second being Queen Elizabeth passed away around the same time the trip was supposed to take place.

Prince William and Kate Middleton are set to travel to Boston for the second annual Earthshot Prize ceremony.

The high-profile event will put the spotlight on a cause near and dear to the prince without causing controversies.

Prince William is taking a stand, well, sort of.

Prince William is trying to have it both ways regarding soccer fans and activists.

Prince William, who is President of the Football Association, hinted that, like many leaders, he was boycotting
the upcoming World Cup in Qatar.

He said he was too busy to attend — the move was applauded by human rights activists who point to the ill-treatment of migrant workers and members of the LGBTQ communities.

However, because of the heavy backlash, Prince William backtracked and said a trip would be possible if England made it far in the competition.

A Kensington Palace spokesperson said: “The Prince could not make the journey due to the busy winter schedule, but the heir would explore options to travel should England end up in the final as part of a government delegation.”

Activist Peter Tatchell, who was stopped by police in Qatar this week protesting on the country’s human rights record, said: “The suggested excuse that Prince William’s decision is because of a diary clash is implausible, given that the dates of the WC have been well known for over a year. This is a human rights issue, not a political one, so the Prince is entirely justified, morally and constitutionally, to speak out.”

Prince William will be more vocal on certain topics while being apolitical.

As the new Prince of Wales, he is eying to push his Royal Foundation on a global stage while striving not to repeat his father’s errors of meddling in political matters.

Lord William Hague, who has worked with the heir for eight years and is now the chair of Prince William and Kate Middleton’s charity, told Sky News: “Certainly in the royal foundation, we’re not changing tone, you know, if anything, we’re going up another gear with a tone that’s well established of how to help with certain issues of some of society’s deepest problems where we need to bring people together to work on… There will be other issues to come in the future. So I think you will find for the Prince and Princess of Wales that work very much goes on and, if anything, goes up another gear.”

He added: “We’re always careful, the royal foundation is non-political, of course, and it’s global. So, of course, we have to take great care with the issues that we work on. But there is no shortage of those issues. It’s absolutely right for a royal family that’s engaged with the world and wants to help people and serve people to get involved with.”

His sibling will be dominating the news in the upcoming weeks.
