Prince William is thousands of miles away from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. It has been confirmed by Prince Harry that he has not been in contact with his brother for over a year.
Despite the distance, it seems that the heir to the throne is still living rent-free in Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s heads, pushing them to make some unfortunate and unnecessary moves.
This month, it was confirmed that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle and Netflix acquired the movie rights to the bestselling romance novel Meet Me at the Lake by author Carley Fortune.
The plan is to turn the book into a movie that will air on the streaming giant. The story follows two characters who rekindle their torrid love affair in their thirties during a chance encounter. The story will also deal with childhood trauma and depression.
However, there is one hiccup with the book — the names of the characters, Will and Fern.
According to royal commentator Kate Manzi, Prince Harry and Markle will most likely change the names of the characters because of Prince William.
The royal expert believes that Prince Harry and Markle do not want their project in shape or form associated with Prince William.
Manzi said on Palace Confidential: “It’s a romantic story about characters called Will and Fern who meet at the lake surprisingly enough.”
Host Jo Elvin replied: “Surely that Will’s name will be changing.”
Manzi continued: “I was thinking that because Will is the kind of very hot love interest in the novel. So, there’s no way they are going to allow those names. You can’t leave it as Will, so he will definitely have his name changed.”
Many find that it is a pity and unwise that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will push for a change in the names because the book is already a bestseller and thousands of fans are familiar with the couple known as Fern and Will.
Others say, while it might be futile or even detrimental to their success, it is understandable that Prince Harry and Markle want no ties to Prince William or any other member of the Royal family.
There has been a lot of mudslinging between London and Montecito. Prince Harry and Markle in interviews, series, and the book Spare painted Prince William as a brute who has verbally and physically assaulted his brother.
Fighting back, Prince William has leaked his response to say that he hates Prince Harry and never wants to see or breathe the same air with him.
Prince William has already decided that Prince Harry and Markle will not be invited to his coronation that will take place in 2043.
