If Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, thought they would find a way toward peace with King Charles III, they were wrong.
After the deluge of insults, revelations, and accusations from the bombshell interviews, the Netflix docuseries, and the record-breaking tell-all book Spare, Prince Harry confirmed that he wanted to reconcile with the Royal Family.
Prince Harry, of course, demanded that King Charles, Prince William, Camilla, Queen Consort, and Kate Middleton apologize to Markle and explained that he is looking forward to a sit-down with his relatives.
Prince Harry had sources close to him speak to the media revealing that he wants to restore his relationship with his family.
However, insiders from Buckingham Palace have revealed to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s friend and reporter Omid Scobie that King Charles has no interest in a sit-down with the renegade royals.
The journalist revealed: “I’ve seen reports saying that there will be some kind of family summit before then for Charles to have these conversations with Harry and Meghan. From what I understand from sources, this is not true at all.”
The biographer behind the bestselling book Finding Freedom also explained that The Duke and Duchess of Sussex might not attend the coronation ceremony.
He shared: “I honestly think people don’t even know whether Harry and Meghan are going because I don’t think they know whether they are going or not.”
The Sunday Times earlier this month dropped a bombshell report from people who have ties to Prince Harry and King Charles, claiming that peace offerings had been made by both parties, and a family reunion was scheduled to take place before the May 6 coronation.
A source familiar with the situation revealed to the publication: “It needs Harry over here, in the room with the King and Prince of Wales, a couple of other family members, some of ‘his people’ he trusts who always had his back, so he doesn’t think he’s being ambushed. Someone like Elf [Ed Lane Fox, Harry’s former private secretary] and Christopher [Lord Geidt, the late Queen’s former private secretary who advised the Sussexes].”
The insider stated that King Charles has to admit the wrongs he did to his son and vice versa.
The royal informant added: “Both sides need to hold their hands up and admit we didn’t get everything right, and we got a lot wrong, and we have to say to him, ‘we understand the pain you’ve been through.’ The King can do it. We’ve got to move on it and get it done by April. Then, we need to get the wives in. The King needs a clear run for the Coronation.”
The talks of peace have been going on for at least two years.
