The road that will take Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, back to London to attend King Charles III‘s coronation ceremony is very thorny.
Prince Harry and Markle put the entire Royal Family on blast with the Netflix series Harry & Meghan and tell-all book Spare.
King Charles is adamant that his two sons must attend the state event despite the humiliating revelations and accusations. However, the Monarch is trying to have his cake and eat it too.
His Majesty and Prince William have made it clear in an aggressive manner that they are beyond upset over Prince Harry’s disloyalty.
The heir and King Charles have also revealed that they have no plans to apologize to Prince Harry and Markle.
Additionally, King Charles and Prince William have issued a long list of rules that Markle and Prince Harry must abide by if they attend the coronation ceremony.
Markle and her husband are only allowed to talk about the weather. The pair has been banned from appearing on the balcony of Buckingham Palace.
At all costs, Prince Harry and Markle must avoid making contact with Prince William and Kate Middleton during the religious ceremony at Westminster Abbey.
As some form of revenge, Prince Harry has hit back with his own list of demands. A royal source spoke to the Mirror and explained that Prince Harry had demanded a summit with King Charles and Prince William before the ceremony to hatch things out; otherwise, he would not be traveling to London for the May 6th event.
Prince Harry wants to clear the air with the royals because he does want his family to be in a toxic situation like they went through during the Platinum Jubilee and Queen Elizabeth II‘s funeral.
The family friend told the publication: “Harry has been very clear, and his position hasn’t wavered – he isn’t going to come if he feels the atmosphere will be as toxic as it was during the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee and funeral. He’s said he wants to reconcile with his family, and it’s their call, but so far, nothing has changed.”
While promoting his book Spare, Prince Harry sat down with the Telegraph, where he demanded an apology from the Royal Family for his wife, Meghan Markle, saying: “You know what you did, and I now know why you did it. And you’ve been caught out, so just come clean. It was all so avoidable. But they just couldn’t help themselves.”
Prince William and King Charles believe that Prince Harry and Markle are very likely to attend the event, but they have yet to talk to the pair.
Prince Harry and his family will receive their invitations in the upcoming weeks.
