Since the bombshell Oprah Winfrey interview, the world has been on a mission to find out the name of the senior royal who made racist comments to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
Thanks to a person who leaked some surprising and reliable information to The Telegraph, it has been confirmed that King Charles III has the name of the royal who dared to ask about the color of Archie‘s skin while Markle was pregnant.
The interview prompted His Majesty to write to Markle for more details about the incident.
The media outlet: “The King is reported to be the only person who made contact with the Duchess after the interview in which Oprah was told there were concerns and conversations about how dark his [Archie’s] skin might be when he’s born.”
The Duchess of Sussex responded by sharing one of her biggest secrets with King Charles — she revealed the name of the person who made the hurtful comments about her unborn son.
A source claimed: “That the letters make clear the identity of the senior member of the family who made the comment. It is understood that both the King and the Duchess acknowledged that the individual’s remark was not made with malice. However, it is understood that she does still consider the comment to be racist.”
The person in the know went on to say: “The Duchess’s letter is also said to suggest that she had never intended to specifically accuse the individual involved of being a racist but was raising concerns about unconscious bias. However, it is understood that she does still consider the comment to be racist.”
After the sit-down with Oprah, it was revealed that it was not Queen Elizabeth II or Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, who made the remark to the former American actress.
Many royal reporters claimed that Camilla, Queen Consort, asked out of curiosity about the skin tone of Markle’s baby because she is the first biracial member of the Royal Family.
Friends close to Camilla, Queen Consort, have denied the claims. Sources close to Markle issued a statement confirming that she did exchange letters with King Charles about the racist and painful remark and added that she wants this old story to die down.
Her rep shared with ET: “The Duchess of Sussex is going about her life in the present, not thinking about correspondence from two years ago related to conversations from four years ago. Any suggestion otherwise is false and frankly ridiculous. We encourage tabloid media and various royal correspondents to stop the exhausting circus that they alone are creating.”
Meghan Markle has opted to skip King Charles’s coronation ceremony.
