Camilla Parker Bowles‘s year opened with a bang, but it might end with a bust. Prince Charles‘s wife is having a marvelous 2022 that began with Queen Elizabeth II wholeheartedly embracing Bowles as Queen Consort when the time comes.
She used the launch of her Platinum Jubilee to make the huge announcement. Her Majesty cited the Duchess of Cornwall‘s loyalty, hard work, and sense of humility and commitment to the Monarchy as the reasons why she made the decision.
While it has taken several years, Camilla Parker Bowles has won the British people’s hearts.
Camilla Parker Bowles was blamed for the end of Prince Charles and Princess Diana‘s marriage and was once dubbed the most hated woman in Britain.
She has thrown herself into charitable works, kept a low profile, and been present for the royal family to change her storyline successfully.
After the Queen made the announcement, the normally media-shy Duchess has finally embraced the spotlight by doing interviews and even appearing on the cover of magazines.
In the past month, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, has spoken more to the press than she had in decades.
She appeared in Vogue and Country Life, where she shared intimate stories about life with Prince Charles, and she used these opportunities to promote the Monarchy.
Royal expert Ingrid Seward recently appeared on an episode of the Pod Save The Queen podcast. She spoke about how the Queen’s big decision propelled Camilla Parker Bowles into the spotlight.
The author of The Queen and Di claimed that Camilla Parker Bowles would have been perfectly happy to “stay in the background” but was pushed by the Queen.
According to the royal writer: “She has a lot of fears, and I know that she finds it difficult to be pushed forward. In a way, she really quite wanted to stay in the background. But, because of the fact that the Queen announced that Camilla would indeed be Queen Consort herself when the Queen was no longer with us, that has really pushed her into the foreground. I think Camilla’s found that a little bit difficult to deal with.”
She went on to say: “I know she has got a huge amount of support from her husband and those around her, but she was always very happy to be there, supporting him, rather than pushing herself forward and being in magazines — certainly on the cover of magazines.”
Bowles might soon regret stepping from the background because Prince Harry is said to be targetting her with his new book.
Ingrid Seward weighed in on Prince Harry and Camilla Parker Bowles’s relationship while on the Mirror‘s Pod Save the Queen podcast.
She made it clear that Meghan Markle‘s husband has no respect or warmth for Bowles.
The expert said: “If they asked her something, she would offer some advice, but she really kept right in the background. But I don’t think Harry has a great deal of warmth for her. He waxes and wanes with her. I think William completely appreciated Camilla and what’s she done for his father, and he has got to know her well, and I think he is very, very fond of her.”
She added: “I don’t know about the recent trip, but certainly I think Harry was quite happy to accept Camilla in the beginning but then went off the boil about her, and I don’t think he holds her in great respect. Things might have changed very very recently since he came over here and spent a little bit of time with his father, but they haven’t really had a chance to be together since Harry and Meghan left, so I don’t think that relationship will have really developed. I don’t think Harry is interested in developing a relationship with his stepmother at this stage in his life.”
Many royal experts and close friends of Prince Harry said his book would be used to have Bowles fleeing the spotlight with humiliation and back in the background.
