Lauren Boebert has issued an apology that screams that she is only sorry because she got caught.
During an appearance on One America News Network, the fiery Republican politician delivered her mea culpa after she was caught on camera at the “Beetlejuice” performance at the Buell Theater in Colorado touching and fondling Quinn Gallagher‘s private parts.
According to the video, Quinn Gallagher, a Democrat who openly supports members of the transgender and gay communities, seemed more than delighted to play with Lauren Boebert.
The Congresswoman was also seen vaping. Boebert and her date’s behavior led to them being kicked out of the theater.
During the interview, Lauren Boebert blamed her divorce, stress, and eccentric personality for her behavior in a public place surrounded by families and children.
The representative confessed: “I was a little too eccentric. I am very known for having an animated personality. Maybe overly animated personality.”
Lauren Boebert opted not to speak about the part where she and Quinn Gallagher were performing sex acts on each other but admitted that she did take a picture inside the theater.
She went on to say: “I was laughing, I was singing, having a fantastic time. Was told to kind of settle it down a little bit, which I did but then my next slip up was taking a picture.”
Boebert, who abides by the Donald Trump school of thought, went on to slam the media for blowing the scandal out of proportion.
The 36-year-old grandmother asked the press to focus on matters that affected the American people.
She said: “We just had Kevin McCarthy, the Speaker of the House announce the impeachment inquiry. We’re facing a government shutdown and trying to fund the federal government. We have a wide-open southern border.”
When the story first broke, Boebert denied it and slammed the media for overblowing her scandalous actions.
Her rep said at the time: “I can confirm the stunning and salacious rumors: in her personal time, Congresswoman Lauren Boebert is indeed a supporter of the performing arts (gasp!) and, to the dismay of a select few, enthusiastically enjoyed a weekend performance of Beetlejuice.”
However, after surveillance footage was released, Boebert sang another tune and blamed it on her ongoing personal struggles.
She said: “There’s no perfect blueprint for going through a public and difficult divorce, which over the past few months has made for a challenging personal time for me and my entire family.”
She added: “I’ve tried to handle it with strength and grace as best I can, but I simply fell short of my values on Sunday. That’s unacceptable and I’m sorry.”
It has been revealed that Quinn Gallagher and Lauren Boebert have been secretly dating for several months. Quinn Gallagher is the owner of the Hooch Craft Cocktail Bar in Aspen where drag shows take place.
Boebert a deep Christian, has declared herself one of the most anti-LGBT members of Congress. Lauren Boebert has had a complicated year. She filed for divorce from her husband, Jayson Boebert, after 18 years of marriage.
Jayson and Lauren Boebert have also announced that their 17-year-old son has impregnated a girl.
