However, recent world events have proven that the Prince of Wales as the heir to the British throne is in a league of his own.
As Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, are busy trying to relaunch their brand, Prince William is building his stature as a true statesman.
His trip to the United States in September was a big hit in that sense. Moreover, Prince William seems ready to even leave his glamorous wife at home on occasion to improve his credentials in that area.
Kate Middleton did not accompany him to the United States, and she will not be joining him in Singapore later this year for the Earthshot Prize Awards.
Prince William wants the world to know that he is a bona fide statesman and ready to be King. To some extent, he has become the face of the British monarchy, forcing King Charles III to share the spotlight with him.

After the Hamas terrorist attack in Israel, he continued by showing that he is at ease on this kind of stage. The Prince and Princess of Wales put out a strong statement on X, the site formerly known as Twitter.
Their words left no doubt about their stance and loyalty. Great statesmen tend to convey a real sense of clarity when they speak.
The statement read: “The Prince and Princess of Wales are profoundly distressed by the devastating events that have unfolded in the past days. The horrors inflicted by Hamas’s terrorist attack upon Israel are appalling; they utterly condemn them. As Israel exercises its right of self-defense, all Israelis and Palestinians will continue to be stalked by grief, fear, and anger in the time to come.”
The Sussexes also put out their own statement on the conflict. They stated: “At The Archewell Foundation, with Prince Harry and Meghan, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, we stand against all acts of terrorism and brutality. We are supporting our partners and organizations on the frontlines in Israel to provide the urgent aid needed, and to help all innocent victims of this unconscionable level of human suffering.”
Their note did not land the same way, and some observers say Prince William won this round. While royal fans are forced to pick sides, experts say the monarchy could end up benefiting from the competition by reaching more people.
On the other hand, the two brothers are also eclipsing King Charles from the headlines with their antics.
