It seems that Prince Harry is having a tough time dealing with all the drama and heartbreak that are currently going on the other side of the Atlantic.
Over the weekend, Prince Harry attended the Legends of Aviation Awards in California. Without his wife, Meghan Markle, by his side, Prince Harry arrived in a fancy black tuxedo to receive the controversial yet prestigious award.
Several photos surfaced from the fancy soirée showing Prince Harry smiling from ear to ear as he posed with attendees and honorees. There is a viral video where he is cracking jokes with legendary actor and pilot John Travolta.
However, one expert explained that there were two versions of Prince Harry at the event. On one side was the man who was born into royalty and has been in the spotlight all his life.
That version of Prince Harry tried to make sure the show went on by flashing a huge smile and looking like he was having fun.
However, on the other side, there was a worried and heavily concerned Prince Harry, who was thinking about the health dramas that have hit his father, King Charles III and his sister-in-law, Kate Middleton.
Middleton will be in the hospital for the next 14 days after having abdominal surgery. She will be off duty until May.
King Charles will have surgery for an enlarged prostate next week. He is expected to make a full recovery and return to his royal business fairly quickly after the operation.
According to body language expert Judi James, who spoke to The Mirror, “We have two versions of Harry here: the smiling selfie pose and his less assured-looking body language as he arrives alone, apparently shutting his own car door and glancing at the cameras with a wary or even haunted-looking facial expression.”
She added: “This seems to be at odds with the man stepping out of the car, who throws a glance over his shoulder at the cameras, with his brows raised and his mouth slightly open.”
The expert also explained: “He probably has enough reasons to look anxious and wary: he does suffer from anxiety before making speeches and he might be missing the support of Meghan, who was not spotted at his side; or he could be worried about his father and his sister-in-law’s health, or he could just be illustrating his thoughts about the press following his courtroom dramas of the day before.”
Some observers are surprised that The Duke of Sussex is not using the situation to make peace with the Royal Family.
