According to the new book, Disloyal: A Memoir, authored by the former personal lawyer of President Donald Trump, Michael D. Cohen, the relationship between the children of the 45th President of the United States was anything but peaceful.
The bitter feud resulted in the exclusion of the President’s younger daughter, Tiffany Trump, from the family affairs.
Apparently, 26-year-old Tiffany was described as the “red-haired stepchild” of the family, and neither of her brothers and sisters showed much love for her.
According to Cohen, Tiffany usually was showered with “casual cruelty” by her older half-sibling, Ivanka Trump, who “jealously guarded her position as Trump’s favorite and surrogate, even at the expense of her vulnerable younger sister.”
The author of the new bestseller described how his child, Samantha Cohen, who was close to Tiffany, was often “amazed and appalled” by the treatment that her friend received on a regular basis from her own family.
Cohen explained that Ivanka is Donald’s favorite daughter, mainly because he put a great importance on physical beauty when measuring the value of women even when it came to his own family.
As a result, the President was particularly proud that Ivanka could help him during business events, as he thought that most men “can’t think straight when they’re around her.”
Trump also reportedly told Cohen this about Ivanka: “They can’t keep their eyes off her.”
Meanwhile, it appears that Trump did not regard Tiffany as being beautiful, because he was not supportive of her desire to have a career in fashion as he did for Ivanka.
When Tiffany asked her father to help her land a job at Vogue, Trump was hesitant and allegedly said, “I don’t think Tiffany has the look,” before sharing with Ivanka, “She just doesn’t have what you have, honey.”
Cohen confessed in the book: “I also really felt for Tiffany and the way she was treated. The pecking order of the kids was painfully apparent. Trump was very specific about his views on the importance of female beauty in measuring the value of women, including inside his own family.”
Cohen’s accusations were backed by Madeleine Westerhout, a loyal White House aide to the President who was fired in 2019 because she got drunk and revealed too many Trump family secrets to reporters.
Westerhout explained that Trump, who is obese according to his doctor, was not a fan of his younger daughter because she was overweight and therefore refused to take photos with her.
