In the past few days, Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, have learned an important lesson — life is fragile, and bickering is useless.
However, many royal watchers are saying, is it too little, too late? Sources close to The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have confirmed that they have personally found ways to reach out to King Charles III and Kate Middleton, who are battling potentially serious health ordeals.
King Charles and Middleton will be out of action for several weeks, as one will be operated on for an enlarged prostate and the other for abdominal surgery.
The health scares prompted Prince Harry and Markle to contact the senior working royals to share their well-wishes. The person in the know, who spoke to The Mirror, claimed that over the weekend, Prince Harry and Markle privately communicated with His Majesty and The Princess Of Wales.
It has not been revealed if Prince Harry was able to speak directly to his father and sister-in-law. The insider declined to say how Prince Harry and Markle discovered that the relatives were being hospitalized.
A source said: “The King and the Princess of Wales have received support from Prince Harry and Meghan regarding their health. The Duke and Duchess contacted both parties in different ways to pass on their concern and best wishes.”
Prince Harry and Markle’s olive branch to King Charles and Middleton came after years of tensions and brutal revelations.
Most recently, an accusation made by Prince Harry and Markle took on a life of its own after the book Endgame accidentally revealed that King Charles and Middleton were the racist royals who made insensitive comments about the skin tone of Prince Archie before he was born.
Prince Harry also made many hurtful revelations about Kate Middleton in his bombshell book, Spare. The former soldier claimed that Kate Middleton was cold and unfriendly to Meghan Markle.
He leaked some of Middleton’s private text messages that were sent to Markle. Prince Harry went as far as hinting that Prince William married the wrong woman.
Royal author Robert Hardman, the author of the new book The Making of a King: King Charles III and the Modern Monarchy, spoke to The Post about Prince Harry’s now regretful decision to criticize Prince William’s choice to marry Kate Middleton.
The royal expert shared: “Harry talks about marrying someone for love, not because it’s the sort of person you ought to. I think that’s a lot more wounding. I mean, that’s effectively dissing your brother and his choice of wife in a very public way.”
In the Netflix series Harry & Meghan, The Duke of Sussex made this stunning declaration about the women in the Royal Family: “For so many people in the family, especially obviously the men, there can be a temptation or urge to marry someone who fits in the mold, as opposed to somebody who you are perhaps destined to be with.”
He added: “The difference is between making decisions with your head and your heart. And my mum [Diana] made most of her decisions, if not all of them, from her heart. And I am my mother’s son.”
The power couple is currently in Jamaica, and a trip to England seems unlikely at the moment.
