It is no secret that child support from Tom Cruise to his ex-wife, Katie Holmes, for their daughter, Suri Cruise, grants and allows for the gift of a privileged and luxurious lifestyle.
Actress and filmmaker, Katie Holmes, will be enjoying this privilege until their child, Suri Cruise, turns 18 — which is distressingly soon. According to close sources who spoke to In Touch, the future is murky for the seemingly loving duo.
An insider stated: “For years, Katie’s enjoyed a lavish lifestyle, thanks to Tom’s consistent support. But as their child nears adulthood, both mother and daughter are facing an uncertain future.”
The source went on to say that this is an uncomfortable situation for the two as it has ominous implications. According to the publication, while Katie Holmes has starred in several minor films since her divorce from Tom Cruise, the money she makes is not adequate and thus cannot support their grand New Yorker lifestyle.
This is also worrying for Suri Cruise, who is getting ready to start college and will need a large sum for tuition, boarding, and supplies.
It will be more than excruciating for the mother and daughter to have to uproot themselves and be placed in an unnatural environment.
The person in the know added: “It’s a terrifying prospect — going from an amazing standard of living to a question mark overnight! Dawson’s Creek royalties don’t hold a candle to what Mission: Impossible generates!”
However, the Miss Meadows actress will not let this reality come to pass. She is actively searching for work to support her and her daughter.
Some close watchers are thinking Holmes will not need to act at all. Instead, she will release an all-telling memoir, like Prince Harry or Britney Spears.
The source cheekily hinted at a juicy book release: “She’s actively looking for roles and is eager to throw herself back into the industry full-time. And don’t forget the non-disclosure agreement she signed — it’s set to expire, too. If things get tough, Katie could cash in by penning a tell-all book!”
However, a spokesperson talked to Radar to deny the claim and made it clear that Holmes is not desperate for money and has no plans to write a nasty tell-all book about her complex relationship with Tom Cruise post-divorce.
The lawyer shared: “The story is riddled with falsehoods. One would hope there would be more newsworthy items to cover, and publications would avoid reporting ‘facts’ claims from anonymous sources peddling such obvious misrepresentations.”
It seems the mother has plenty of options to support herself and her child. It is unlikely the two will fall during hard times. Katie Holmes will do anything for her daughter — but bash Tom Cruise in a tell-all for money is not one of them.
