King Charles III has his hands full with his battle with cancer and the monarchy’s business, but he has more drama coming his way whether he knows it or not.
This week, Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, stole the kingdom’s thunder with an alternative royal tour in Nigeria.
According to reporters who accompanied the pair to the African nation, it looked and smelled like a royal tour.
PEOPLE Magazine royal journalist Simon Perry, who traveled with Prince Harry and Markle, reported: “Having covered numerous royal tours, including three with Prince Harry himself, I can attest that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex‘s visit to Nigeria from May 10 to 13 had all the hallmarks of an official visit, despite not being officially labeled as such. From a dynamic kickoff event focused on mental health at a local school, where both Harry and Meghan delivered inspiring speeches, to heartfelt visits to charitable organizations, every aspect mirrored the essence of royal engagements.”
Amidst his busy schedule of meetings with Nigerian government officials, kings, charity organizers, and school children, Prince Harry managed to slip in a brief interview. In this interview, he made a statement that would undoubtedly spark a fiery reaction from King Charles and Prince William.
The former soldier confirmed that he would not spend too much time in his California mansion because numerous other countries had invited him and Markle.
Prince Harry stated: “There’s only so much one can do from home and over Zoom! So we look forward to traveling more…there will always be reasons to meet the people at the heart of our work.”
Some royal observers believe it is a provocative announcement that will further vex His Majesty and the heir to the throne.
Via The Mirror, royal expert Tom Quinn explained The King and The Prince of Wales are already furious with the couple.
He said: “William is absolutely furious and determined to find a way to stop this happening in the future. Charles is said to be angrier than anyone has ever seen him. What’s really upset the applecart is that the Nigerians treated Meghan and Harry as if they thought this was an official tour – all the signs were there as the couple were greeted with dances, receptions, visits to schools and charities.”
He added: “Everything you might expect from an official royal visit was there – the receptions, the visits to schools and charities, to wounded soldiers and the disabled. Meghan and Harry’s speeches and their whole attitude have been designed to give the impression that they are still fully paid-up royals and William and his father, King Charles, don’t like it one bit. For Charles and William, it’s as if Meghan and Harry are saying, ‘We don’t need your permission to be working royals – we will do it on our own terms whenever and wherever we like.”
It seems that Prince Harry has no plans to stop.
This is taking the piss after this Charles has no choice but to remove both their titles and make it known to the whole world the same as they would
