Kate Middleton, through her own tough and brave struggles, has inadvertently confirmed that her husband was right all along about Meghan Markle.
Almost five years ago, Meghan Markle’s life as a working member of the Royal Family was fraught with challenges.
The relentless pressure, unrelenting attacks, and unyielding rules and schedules forced Meghan Markle and Prince Harry to decide to step down from their royal duties.
The pair established themselves in California with their two children, pushing multiple businesses to remain financially independent.
However, Prince William predicted that royal life — the media scrutiny, the grueling workloads, and the sacrifices of all privacy — would be too much for Markle because she was unprepared.
In an interview with The Sun, former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond explained: “Kate was given ten years to peer into the goldfish bowl of royal life. I think it was brilliant she saw all the restrictions and glare of publicity it brings. Because their courtship was so long, she was able to judge that she could hack it — and William could see that too.”
The author stated that Prince William was right to warn Prince Harry and added: “This is why William was correct in guiding or warning Harry, ‘Are you sure you’re not going a bit fast in this relationship with Meghan? It affronted Harry to be questioned like that, but I think it came from a good place.”
On the other hand, Kate Middleton dated Prince William on and off for more than eight years before deciding that she was ready to marry into the complex Royal Family.
This week, Kate Middleton, who is battling cancer, has inadvertently validated her husband’s long-held concerns about Meghan Markle.
Princess Kate found the strength within to keep her emotional promise to put the Monarchy and serve the British people first.
Middleton, built for this battle royal, made a triumphant return to the spotlight during King Charles III‘s birthday parade.
Ailsa Anderson, former press secretary to Queen Elizabeth II said, “the monarchy is going through one of the most difficult sets of challenges,” and Middleton has saved the day.
Royal biographer Sally Bedell Smith spoke to PEOPLE Magazine to say that Middleton proved she is the statesperson the monarchy needs and added: “She looked vibrant and mounted and dismounted the carriage without losing a step. She couldn’t have picked a better moment to reappear in public. She didn’t seem to stop smiling. She looked so happy to be there. It was spellbinding to watch her.”
King Charles’s biographer, Catherine Mayer, said it was a truly selfless act of service for the century-old institution that Markle would not have been able to deliver.
She explained: “Queen Elizabeth used to say, ‘I need to be seen to be believed.’ She said that before the days of online conspiracy theories, she meant that in order to do the job of royalty, they needed to be seen directly. However difficult, or otherwise, this has been for Kate, appearing was an act of service under the terms of the institution she is part of.”
Some observers say Middleton might have found her calling.
