Meghan Markle will continue with her decision to settle the score with her royal enemies, and she will soon do so in Asia.
The former actress had high expectations when she married Prince Harry. Markle expected to be given the opportunity to change the world through impactful projects and royal engagements.
Markle was resolute that her influence and voice within the monarchy would leave an indelible mark on history. However, that is different from how it went.
After two short years, she was already on a plane back to California with her prince and their baby boy. Despite the challenges, Markle’s vision of semi-world domination remains unwavering.
Prince Harry and Markle have decided to continue with multiple royal-inspired initiatives, including the most famous and controversial one: the faux royal tours.
Despite King Charles III‘s disapproval, Prince Harry and Markle remain steadfast in their chosen path. The power couple has visited Africa.
Earlier this year, with cameras in tow, Prince Harry and Markle went to Nigeria to spotlight their l̶i̶f̶e̶ o̶f̶ s̶e̶r̶v̶i̶c̶e̶ multiple causes near and dear to their hearts.
This summer, the pair traveled to Colombia, where they met with the vice president, toured cities impacted by the cartels, and highlighted the country’s rich and complex culture.
A royal source, who spoke to OK!, said Markle believes that the “faux royal tour” would give Markle the chance to show “how much the Royal Family misses her.”
The insider told the media outlet: “Meghan sees this Colombia tour as her opportunity to demonstrate to the world her star power and how much the Royal Family misses her.”
They added: “She knows how much she can turn it on, and doing events like this was the one thing about royal life that appealed to her. She was furious when that was taken away because she knew she was an asset. Meghan knows nobody in the Royal Family can put on a show like she and Harry. When they left, they asked that they could still represent the family on tours but were told no, so she feels it’s the ultimate revenge as they were both so upset when they were rejected.”
So what is next for Prince Harry and Markle? They are believed to be traveling to India mainly in the summer of 2025.
The Daily Mail‘s Richard Eden explained on Palace Confidential: “Markle, who has spent much time in India, wants to return to the country with her husband. There would be more after the trip to Nigeria; presumably, they already had this one planned.”
He continued: “Think about it: they’ve been to Africa, Nigeria, South America with Colombia. My suspicion is that it could be Asia. Next, will we be seeing them in India? It is somewhere that Megan visited for a charity. Meghan visited before she met Harry, so it wouldn’t surprise me if India was next on their agenda.”
Host Jess King asked Eden: “But do you think they will look back on these trips that they’ve done as a success? I mean, how do you think they’re viewing how it’s going down?”
The royal expert went on to say: “Well, I mean, it depends. What they want, but certainly, it attracted lots of coverage, so remember that you know why they doing it, and when are they doing it? It’s August. You know that it’s by coincidence when the royal family is not carrying out engagements, and that is not a coin at all, so, um, yeah, you can. I look forward to your trip to India next August.”
King concluded by: “Well, maybe that’s what we will be talking about next on Palace.”
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are not backing down.
