Ben Affleck failed at one thing regarding his ex-wife, Jennifer Lopez. He was not able to set boundaries.
Jennifer Garner has stepped in to accomplish the mission Ben Affleck could not achieve. Affleck and Lopez divorced over the summer after two years of marriage.
The actors did not have any children together. However, their children have formed a strong bond during their parents’ relationship, and they all attend the same school, adding a layer of complexity to the situation.
Therefore, the mission is to separate Samuel and Fin Affleck and twins Emme and Max Muñiz.
Lopez, Affleck, and Garner have found themselves awkward because they must attend school events and parent teacher meetings.
The three adults also have to celebrate significant events. They celebrate milestones such as birthdays together as a blended family.
However, Garner and Affleck are visibly uncomfortable, adding tension to their interactions. Sources via Yahoo reveal that the father of three would rather not see his ex-wife as often as he does.
Despite his feelings about the situation, Affleck still tries to have lunch with Lopez to maintain peace within the family and harmony for the children.
Well, Garner is not playing that game. Sources close to Jennifer Garner told The Daily Mail that she is no longer interested in contacting Lopez unless it is absolutely necessary for the children.
According to The Mail, Garner feels she was dragged into the marriage drama and forced to play the roles of counselor, fixer, crisis manager, problem solver, spiritual guide, and advisor.
Garner regrets carrying that heavy baggage for Lopez, so she wants to cut ties. The insider said: “Jen no longer wishes to communicate with JLo unless it is done with the kids. Her friends feel she shouldn’t have allowed herself to get involved in helping JLo fix her marriage to Ben.”
The source went on to say: “Especially considering Jen felt pitted against JLo during their marriage. Jen is too nice and truly wanted to help, so she tried.”
Garner’s businessman boyfriend, John Miller, believes she is making the right decision to step back from Lopez.
It was revealed via The Daily Mail: “He cares deeply for Ben and sympathizes with what he is going through with Jennifer, but that doesn’t mean Jen should be the one to fix the husband’s issues with his current wife. That makes no sense to anyone.”
Garner feels it is time to put herself first.
