Leah Remini has made it her life’s duty to warn the world about Tom Cruise and the Church of Scientology.

This week, the actress took to social media to slam Tom Cruise, who is riding a career-high thanks to his latest movie, Top Gun: Maverick.

At the age of 59, the daredevil actor is experiencing one of his biggest box office hits with Top Gun: Maverick.

The action-packed thriller brought in almost one billion dollars globally in its first weeks of release after rave reviews from critics and moviegoers.

Tom Cruise is being praised by media outlets worldwide for his extraordinary accomplishment. It should also be noted that Tom Cruise put on the charm offensive while promoting the project.

The stars of the film took part in a massive campaign of flattery and friendliness on all red carpet premieres, especially in London, where they schmoozed with members of the royal family, including Prince William and Kate Middleton.

Leah Remini, who slammed Tom Cruise for over a decade, did not miss the opportunity to bring him down from his high success and warn others about her former religion.

Taking to Twitter, Remini posted the screenshot of a Facebook article by her friend, former Scientologist Claire Headley, who blasted Cruise for promoting “a dangerous cult that destroyed my family.”

Headley went on to accuse Cruise of committing “crimes against humanity.”

She also stated: “So no, I will not watch the movie, nor will I ever support or approve of this scam of a man. Trust me, Tom Cruise knows exactly who he is supporting and the abuses the organization perpetuates.”

Leah Remini took a shot at Tom Cruise by saying that people should not be fooled by his charm and personality.

The King of Queens star tweeted on Saturday: “Thank you to my friend@claireheadley for your courage. You have continued to speak out despite the non-stop attacks from Scientology. And as Claire says in her post below, Tom Cruise knows exactly what goes on in Scientology. Don’t let the movie star charm fool you.”

Leah Remini joined the Church of Scientology when she was a child with her parents but left in July 2013 and has since become one of the most outspoken critics and whistleblowers of Scientology via her books, TV series, and podcasts.

Remini has repeatedly spoken out against active members of the church, including Cruise and Kirstie Alley, Elizabeth Moss, and John Travolta.

This is not the first time that Remini has called Cruise unflattering names.

In a past interview, she said that Cruise was “diabolical” and added: “There is a public persona of the guy who looks at you directly in the eye and shakes your hand and hugs you and is an attentive person to you, and there’s the person behind the mask who is a completely different person.”

She also claimed: “I think it’s time for people to start waking up to the real facts here. Tom has for years manipulated his image to be the good guy.”

Some movie fans are defending Cruise by saying that they can differentiate the man from the actor and that his projects allow hundreds of people to have good-paying jobs.
