Texas Shooting Five Killed Twenty One Injured

According to the authorities, there was an active mass shooting in Odessa, Texas, there is a possibility that one or two gunmen were driving around and shooting at random people.

The Midland–Odessa shooting suspect has been identified, but his name nor his photo have not been released to the public.

According to the police, the shooter is described as a white male in his 30s and he was killed.

The police department says one of the suspects hijacked a U.S. mail carrier and started shooting at more than 20 people. Seven are presumed dead, including a baby -17-month-old Anderson Davis.

It appears that three state troopers were shot during the carnage on I-20 between Odessa and Midland.

Odessa police confirmed that the deadly shooting spree started with a traffic stop by Texas state troopers.

Many people have rushed to Twitter to say that there are multiple shooting victims in Midland/Odessa, Texas, and to share videos of the massacre.

They are also pleading with people to stay away from the area or to remain indoor.

The victims are Texans who were out and about at the Cinergy movie theater, Twin Peaks restaurant, or shopping at a Home Depot, Walmart, and multiple locations along the interstate.

In a statement issued by the Midland Texas police department, it has been confirmed that one active shooter was shot and killed at the Cinergy in Odessa.

The police are being applauded because it was revealed that the shooter was heading to a movie theater in Odessa and they showed up before he did and stopped him before he was able to get out of his truck and kill those leaving the cinemas.

Officials are investigating reports of possible suspects in the area.

The statement from the Midland Texas police department read: “It has been confirmed that the active shooter was shot and killed at the Cinergy in Odessa. There is no active shooter at this time. All agencies are investigating reports of possible suspects.”

A previous statement read: “We are monitoring the ongoing active shooter incident in Odessa and Midland, Texas. Our thoughts and prayers are with all affected by this evolving situation, and the men and women throughout this country committed to protecting their communities.”

Via social media, Midland Mayor Jerry Morales confirmed that the mass murderer has been killed and but has not ruled out that there is only one shooter, but confirms that a shooter has been killed at a movie theater in Odessa.

Both Texas presidential candidates took to social media to share their thoughts and prayers and demand action on gun control policies.

Julián Castro said: “Heartbreaking news out of Odessa and Midland, Texas as police search for an active shooter at-large. Stay indoors and monitor news alerts and safety protocols.”

Beto O’Rourke had the following to say on the shooting in western Texas: “Our hearts are with Midland, Odessa, and everyone in West Texas who has to endure this again. More information is forthcoming, but here’s what we know: We need to end this epidemic.”

President Donald Trump has reacted to the latest Texas shooting by stating that gun control is still not an appropriate course of action.
