As Donald Trump swims through lawsuits and investigations, his wife, Melania Trump, is getting in a festive mood for the Christmas and holiday season by doing what she does best: being a businesswoman.
This week, the former first lady revealed her latest business venture, she has launched a collection of Christmas ornaments.
Indeed, Melania Trump has decided to profit off her biggest controversy — the White House Christmas decor disaster.
Melania Trump’s company, USA Memorabilia, recently announced: “Former First Lady Melania Trump’s signature is included on each ornament, and the ornaments are proudly handcrafted in the United States.”
The ornament comes in five colors and will make it possible for MAGA supporters to have a joyful “red, white, and blue Christmas,” according to the company.
The Trump family is not afraid to use a scandal to their advantage. While a resident of the White House in 2018, Melania Trump made headlines in the most spectacular way.
The model unveiled the decor of the East Colonnade, which contained 40 blood-red trees, and she had her staff hang 14,000 red ornaments elsewhere in the White House.
Some on the Internet compared Mrs. Trump’s decor to a horror movie. Others questioned her religion and wondered if she was sending a message to the devil.
Melania Trump defended her red Christmas decoration via her spokesperson, saying at the time that the color red was “a symbol of valor and bravery.”
The socialite’s complex relationship with Christmas continued with a series of tapes played by CNN. In the leaked audio, Melania Trump was having a conversation with a then-close friend, and she took the opportunity to share her non-warm and fuzzy feelings about the holiday.
She said that she did not give a fu*k about Christmas and added: “I’m working … my a** off on the Christmas stuff, that, you know, who gives a f*** about the Christmas stuff and decorations? But I need to do it, right?”
Melania Trump continued: “And then I do it and I say that I’m working on Christmas and planning for Christmas and they said, ‘Oh, what about the children that they were separated from?’ Give me a f****** break.”
Stephanie Grisham, a spokeswoman for the First Lady, slammed the person behind the tapes by saying: “Secretly taping the First Lady and willfully breaking an NDA to publish a salacious book is a clear attempt at relevance. The timing of this continues to be suspect – as does this never-ending exercise in self-pity and narcissism.”
Grisham later turned on her former boss.
