Prince Harry Fell In Love With Meghan Markle For This Reason — Princess Diana’s Former Employee Tells It All About The Royal Family

Meghan Markle Prince Harry Diana

When Prince Harry met then-actress Meghan Markle, he rapidly fell for her because she was opinionated and determined to make her mark in the world — her own way.

If the description above fits another British royal family member, that is because it fits the late Princess Diana to a T.

Paul Burrell, who worked as Diana’s butler for many years, recently did an interview where he spoke of the similarities between Meghan and her mother-in-law.

According to the former employee, he is not the only one who noticed how much the two strong-headed women were alike.

THE TRUTH | “To clarify on Lion King red carpet video. In an interview back in February, Disney's CEO Bob Iger said: “He [Harry] was telling me Meghan was potentially going to track film we were making”. Harry was telling Iger that Meghan is working with Disney. ALREADY doing it, No pitching!” – SarahGlas2/twitter . . Clearly from what Bob said this was already in the works before July. Many journalists including Omid Scobie and Hannah Furness note Meghan became aware of it in 2016. Disney films don’t happen over night! It’s usually years in the works. Omid said: “Meghan recorded her narration in London last fall and was made aware of the project via mutual friends of the filmmakers”, Mike Chase (founder of @elephantswithoutborders). Harry’s long term friend (pictured in this video!). She met him for the first in Botswana in 2016 with Harry. . . Hannah Furness from the Telegraph said: “The Duchess agreed to do the voiceover after a direct request from filmmakers, and recorded it in the UK in the autumn after seeing footage of the documentary.” . . Disney will be making a donation to Elephants Without Borders, which the film is supporting. Meghan isn’t being paid. . . #meghanmarkle #duchessofsussex #royalfamily #britishroyals #royals #princeharry #archie

He thinks that Prince Harry was most likely intrigued, captivated by Meghan’s fierceness and stubbornness to fight the status quo.

While talking to Closer, Burrell said he firmly believes that Harry was attracted to Meghan in part because she is a lot like his mother.

Burrell, who knew Diana, the People’s Princess, very well, went on to make this confession — he does not believe that Harry’s mother and wife would have gotten along despite being so much alike.

For more than ten years, Burrell worked for Diana until her death in 1997.

Thank you @archie_mountbatten_windsor for sharing the link to this video with me😍 and I’ve edited it to include the relevant parts. Mark Linfield and Vanessa Berlowitz, filmmakers of ‘Elephant’ spoke about how they got Meghan to do the narration for Elephant. They revealed that they showed the Sussexes “in progress” clips of the ‘Elephant’ documentary in Botswana, 2017 over dinner. ⁣⁣⁣ ⁣ After speaking to Meghan, the filmmakers proposed to her that she should narrate the documentary. In an interview with People earlier this month Vanessa said: “She [Meghan] was absolutely intrigued by the elephants and transfixed, especially by the female empowerment side. How important the matriarchs are to the story; it really is all about female leadership. It’s a different form of power — it’s about consensual leadership. It’s also very inclusive, as well — very contemporary. She was absolutely fascinated by that”⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ Roy Conli, American producer revealed that if it wasn’t for Harry’s friend, Mike Chase from @elephantswithoutborders they wouldn’t have known about the herds movement. ⁣⁣Roy added that they rely on specialists such as Mike to film these film-documentaries. Meghan donated her fee to @elephantswithoutborders. ⁣⁣⁣ ⁣ This role wasn’t handed to Meghan on a plate as revealed by Mark, who said they used her UN Women speech against some early footage, and it just worked out great.⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Harry joined Meghan last October, as she recorded at London’s famed Pinewood Studios. Mark (in the video) and Vanessa (in the video and to People Magazine) both said that Meghan was identifying with the elephants especially as a new mother. Vanessa said to People: “She had a small child. You could totally tell she was identifying with [elephants] Shani and Jojo, and keeping little ones in tow. She felt like a normal mom going through the normal trials and tribulations of bringing up a baby. Like one of us.”⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ #meghanmarkle #duchessofsussex #royalfamily #britishroyals #royals #princeharry

He explained what would have occurred if the ladies had a chance to meet: “I think, possibly, they would have clashed. I imagine it would have been two strong, independent women with different views on things—it would have been a battle between Meghan’s way and Diana’s way.”

Burrell also pointed to the big difference between the two princesses.

Due to the fact that Meghan was raised in Hollywood and had an acting career and an impressive PR team, she was more media-savvy going into her marriage and becoming a member of the royal family than Diana was.

Burrell went on to share: “I think the main difference between them is that Meghan has a game plan, whereas Diana was young and naïve. Diana did the book with Andrew Morton and courted the press over the years because she didn’t have a voice. And her strong-mindedness meant she cared, and she felt the people of the country had a right to know what had gone on behind closed doors.”

Meghan and Harry, who recently ditched their lives in England for a Hollywood home owned by entertainment mogul Tyler Perry, will share their journey in the upcoming book, Finding Freedom.

The anticipated biography was written by reporters Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand, who are friends with Archie‘s parents.

Finding Freedom is based on hours of interviews with the couple’s friends, and close allies will be out on August 11.
