Matthew Perry recently made a lot of headlines after it was reported that the Friends actor is in the process of writing an honest and uncensored autobiography that would revolve mainly around the time he starred in the popular television sitcom.
While the 51-year-old actor, who rose to prominence with the role of Chandler Bing, is reportedly determined to complete his exposé, rumor has it that some of his colleagues are not that excited about the upcoming book.
A source close to the actor stated, “Matthew’s not an idiot. He knows an uncensored account of his time on Friends and his drug issues would be a best-seller” and claimed that Perry wanted to spill the beans about his alleged romance with Jennifer Aniston. The latter starred in Friends as Rachel Green.
A source allegedly told OK!: “People have asked him time and time again if he dated Jen [Aniston] — and he admits there was a special connection. They went out a few times casually, but they were young and impetuous, and it didn’t last long.”
Besides, it was reported that Perry wanted to tell the truth not only about his relationships with fellow colleagues, such as Julia Roberts and Yasmine Bleeth but also give out revealing details concerning Courteney Cox.
Perry is also going to reportedly write about some of the male actors that starred in Friends, such as Matt LeBlanc, with whom he is on very good terms, as the anonymous insider shared, “Matthew is fond of Matt LeBlanc, who pledged to go to fat camp with him. But he won’t be as kind to the girls.”
The person claimed: “Matthew knows people don’t quite ‘get’ him all the time. He can be cynical, but he has seen and experienced a lot. He has an absolutely unique perspective to share, and he plans to do that here.”
However, a representative for the actor addressed the rumors and claimed that Perry did not intend to reveal anything about the rest of the Friends cast since he was very close to all of them.
There is no memoir being written. Otherwise, the upcoming Friends reunion time will be awkward. The reunion special that was postponed numerous times will air on HBO’s streaming service HBO Max in 2021.
The Hollywood Reporter claimed that the cast negotiated their massive checks between $2.5 million and $3 million together.
Meanwhile, Perry has been busy on social media sharing hilarious photos with his fiancée, Molly Hurwitz.
