While the world is focused on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, Kate Middleton is busy deligting Queen Elizabeth II and building a stronger bond with the British people.
Prince William‘s wife grabbed headlines on Friday for a visit at the National Portrait Gallery, where she was meeting with photographers who made her Hold Still book possible.
The 39-year-old mother of three opted for a stunning red coat from Eponine London that has seized the imagination of many fans of the royal family.
Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, was the epitome of class and grace at the event that brought more attention to her book that is a best seller.
The Hold Still campaign was started in 2020 to capture the life of people in the UK during the lockdown. Duchess Kate is an amateur photographer, and she had asked the public to send in their images to mark down that singular moment in history.
At the time, Queen Elizabeth issued a rare statement praising Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge’s efforts to spotlight the people who played essential roles — the doctors, nurses, and other first responders risking their lives during the pandemic.
Queen Elizabeth said: “The Duchess of Cambridge and I were inspired to see how the photographs have captured the resilience of the British people at such a challenging time, whether that is through celebrating frontline workers, recognizing community spirit, or showing the efforts of individuals supporting those in need.”
Many in the country were inspired and gladly sent in their photos. Out of 31,000 entries, 100 portraits made the final cut, and they will become part of the gallery’s national collection.
In addition to the visit to the gallery, the popular royal took part in the launch of a “book hunt” supported by The Book Fairies.
The outing was a huge success with fans of the duchess because it showcased some of her best attributes. First, her natural elegance is undeniable.
Secondly, supporters appreciate the fact she does not seem to be constantly seeking the limelight, and she does extremely well by putting most of the focus on the different projects that she is pushing.
Moreover, they also like that her family appears to be at the center of her world. It is clear that the drama around Meghan’s relationship with other members of the royal family has served her well and made her an even more valuable player in the British monarchy.
As she continues to win the hearts of many in the UK, Queen Elizabeth is paying close attention to her rise in popularity because she is a nice bridge to the future for the British monarchy.

Queen Elizabeth, who has been forced to step back from her royal duties because of the pandemic, age, and the loss of Prince Philip, has given more responsibilities to Kate Middleton and Prince William, who are ushering in a period of change to the monarchy while “upholding the values of those who came before.”
And it seems that there is a general consensus that Kate Middleton and Prince William are thriving in their new roles.
One Palace staffer had this to say about Kate Middleton and her spouse: “Without a doubt, we are in a period of change. Arguably change at the top, with the Queen handing over more responsibilities to the Prince of Wales and, of course, William. What does that mean for Kate?”
The royal insider went on to explain: “It means she will be even more front and centre, and what you’ve seen over the past year or two is that she definitely has grown in confidence in order to do that. With the Duke and Duchess of Sussex out of the picture, and never likely to return, one would think this is their time. At one stage they may have thought that they were being over-burdened but in reality, they have a clear run.”
The aide concluded by: “They can work on the projects they want to and which they feel can make the most impact. But they can also carry on the work of the monarchy in their own way, upholding the values of those who came before them while making it relevant for a new generation. It’s going to be a very exciting time.”
Kate is a star.
