Queen Elizabeth II and seniors in the Palace have taken the decision to bury the findings of her privately paid investigation into the bullying investigation that involved Meghan Markle and several staff members.
It has been confirmed by a senior aide for Buckingham Palace who spoke to The Independent that they would never release the findings to the public to protect Meghan Markle and the privacy of the former employees who claimed that they were humiliated.
After the royals in England made their sentiments known, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle decided to share their feelings.
A source close to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex spoke to E! News and revealed that they are “disappointed” that the results of the review of the investigation will remain a secret.
Some royal experts say the fact that Prince Harry and Markle have revealed that, they might be aware that the results of the investigation were favorable to them, which is why they are unhappy with the Palace’s decision not to exonerate Markle.
Buckingham Palace announced that they were launching the bullying investigation days before Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s Oprah Winfrey interview aired in March 2021.
When the allegations surfaced via Markle’s closest advisers and staff members, her spokesperson vehemently denied the claims in a statement that was released to The Times then.
The representative called it a smear campaign against Prince Harry’s wife to harm her image and reputation.
The statement read: “Let’s just call this what it is—a calculated smear campaign based on misleading and harmful misinformation. We are disappointed to see this defamatory portrayal of The Duchess of Sussex given credibility by a media outlet.”
It went on to say: “It’s no coincidence that distorted several-year-old accusations aimed at undermining The Duchess are being briefed to the British media shortly before she and The Duke are due to speak openly and honestly about their experience of recent years. In a detailed legal letter of rebuttal to The Times, we have addressed these defamatory claims in full, including spurious allegations regarding the use of gifts loaned to The Duchess by the Crown.”
It concluded by saying that Meghan Markle was saddened by the attacks on her character.
The rep shared: “The Duchess is saddened by this latest attack on her character, particularly as someone who has been the target of bullying herself and is deeply committed to supporting those who have experienced pain and trauma. She is determined to continue her work building compassion around the world and will keep striving to set an example for doing what is right and doing what is good.”
There will always be some tension between the two sides of the royal family.
