A series of photos have surfaced that will undoubtedly upset 96-year-old Queen Elizabeth II.
On Wednesday, the Daily Mail shared multiple photos of Prince William and Kate Middleton doing what they have been doing for years — jetting off to their destination via a private jet.
A video of the family has also been shared on TikTok. Prince William was accompanied by his three children — Prince George, eight, Princess Charlotte, seven, and Prince Louis, four. Prince William and Duchess Kate also had their dog, Orla.
The photos obtained by the publication showed the happy family with their luggage boarding the brownish red helicopter.
The family of five was spotted walking on the Nepalese Embassy field near their current home in Kensington Palace in London.
It is believed that Kate Middleton, Prince William, and their young children flew to the airport or their holiday destination in a chopper.
The family is officially on summer break — last week, the children’s school closed.
The incredible pictures of the heir to the throne and his entire family walking to the helicopter surfaced just hours after it was revealed that Queen Elizabeth is upset over the controversial photos.
It has been revealed that Her Majesty is concerned that Prince William and his wife are spending so much money to hitch helicopter rides while the British people are fuming over the spending of the royals.
Her Majesty is also unhappy with the couple’s decision because it is a dangerous situation for them and the entire British Monarchy.
The Monarch has made it clear in the past that Prince William should respect the unwritten rule that multiple heirs to the British throne should never travel together.
According to royal commentator Richard Palmer, Queen Elizabeth is not pleased that her demands were not respected.
He told Express: “Then they are vulnerable because then you see pictures of the Cambridge family flying up by helicopter. I mean, I think they’ve been curtailed with that a little bit. I think the Queen felt, certainly let it be known, that she felt uncomfortable about the entire family traveling by helicopter. I think there was partly a bit more going on behind the scenes.”
He went on to reveal: “I think there was a little bit of official unhappiness about the amount of time that the Cambridges were spending traveling between Anmer Hall in Norfolk and Kensington Palace, their London residence, using helicopters.”
Palmer continued by saying that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge‘s aides and staff members will defend their usage of the helicopter by saying that it is not something to do often.
Others have cited the fact that Prince William is a veteran pilot. However, most in the Palace Walls will say that they defy the Queen’s request more often than not.
He shared: “People in the Cambridges’ camp would say actually that didn’t happen very often at all. Other people seemed to imply that it was happening a bit more than the Queen wanted it to happen.”
Palmer concluded by explaining the nightmare scenario that has the Queen scared for the family.
He stated: “For whatever reason, the Queen let it be known that she was worried about the Cambridges traveling as a family by helicopter because of the possibility of a crash. This was because not only would the heir to the throne [William] be involved but also the risk of the “third, fourth, fifth in line to the throne being wiped out in the crash.”
This is not the first time the Queen has voiced concerns over Prince William’s decision to use helicopters.
In late 2021, “Prince Harry King” started trending after a story surfaced in The Sun that revealed The Queen is terrified by Prince William’s refusal to listen to her.
The report had many searching to understand better that a drastic change in the line of succession could lead to a constitutional crisis because it implies that Prince Harry, who quit his royal duties, could take the throne and become king of England.
A royal insider told the British publication The Sun at the time: “Her Majesty has told close friends and courtiers that she would like William to stop flying himself, particularly in bad weather, as helicopters are not the safest form of transport. It keeps the Queen awake at night, and she is understandably very worried. She knows William is a capable pilot but does not think it is worth the risk for all five of them to carry on flying together and can’t imagine what would happen. It would spark a constitutional crisis.”
The source added: “The Queen has told William she is worried that, however good he is as a pilot, bad weather and accidents can strike at any time. The Queen is delighted in the way William and Kate have risen to the challenge in recent years and knows the Monarchy is safe in their hands. She thinks the future is bright with them at the helm after Charles, but if something happened to him and the family, it doesn’t bear thinking about.”
Prince William and his family are ditching Kensington Palace and are set to move to a property near Winsor Castle and will therefore no longer need helicopters to get around.
