King Charles III did all that was imaginable not to have to relive the humiliating scandal known as “Tampongate.”

He attempted to block Prince Harry from speaking about the recordings, bringing massive shame to Camilla, Queen Consort, the Royal Family, and the monarchy.

However, in court, Prince Harry decided to go against all rules and spoke for the first time about the massive scandal that rattled the institution.

This week, the High Court is hearing Prince Harry’s lawsuit against the publisher of the Sun, News Group Newspapers.

The British prince is suing Rupert Murdoch‘s media company for allegedly illegally gathering information about his private life.

Prince Harry did not appear in the courtroom. Still, his lawyers read his unbelievable witness statement, where he made some bombshell revelations and accusations just days ahead of King Charles and Camilla, Queen Consort’s coronation ceremony.

Prince Harry revealed that King Charles did not want him to sue because he was working in cahoots with the news organization “to ensure the Sun supported his ascension to the throne and Camilla’s role as queen consort, and had a specific long-term strategy to keep the media on the side for when the time came.”

According to The Guardian, Prince Harry exposed his father’s deep and extraordinary relationship with the British media.

Prince Harry said that he was summoned by then-Prince Charles, who demanded he back down from the lawsuit.

The Duke of Sussex claimed: “I was summoned to Buckingham Palace and specifically told to drop the legal actions because they have an ‘effect on all the family. It was a direct request (or rather demand) from my father and senior royal aides.”

Prince Harry went on to reveal the humiliating reason why King Charles and his wife, Camilla, Queen Consort, did not want him to pursue the lawsuit — the mortifying scandal and telephone recordings known as “Tampongate.”

“Tampongate,” a series of private telephone calls recorded in 1989, features then-Prince Charles, who was married to Princess Diana, confessing to his then-mistress, Camilla Parker-Bowles (now Queen Consort), that he wished he could be reincarnated as a tampon so he could live inside her.

Prince Harry explained how the King and Queen‘s steamy scandal is entwined with his current lawsuit: “The reason for this was to avoid the situation where a member of the Royal Family would have to sit in the witness box and recount the specific details of the private and highly sensitive voicemails that had been intercepted by [the News of the World royal reporter] Clive Goodman.”

He added: “The institution was incredibly nervous about this and wanted to avoid at all costs the sort of reputational damage that it had suffered in 1993 when the Sun and another tabloid had unlawfully obtained and published details of an intimate telephone conversation that took place between my father and stepmother in 1989, while he was still married to my mother.”

According to some observers, this latest bombshell from Prince Harry makes reconciliation with the Royal Family almost impossible.
