Prince William Furious Over King Charles’s Decision That Contributed To Prince Harry Moving To California

PRince William Harry Meghan Markle Peace Future

When Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced that they were stepping down from their royal duties and leaving London in 2020, many were in debilitating shock.

Eventually, the shock wore off, and the finger-pointing began. While most believed that Markle might be the only reason “Megxit” took place, Prince William has another angle to the event.

The heir to the throne thinks that a careless decision taken by his father, King Charles III, inadvertently opened the door for Prince Harry and Markle to exit the Palace walls and relocate to California permanently.

According to a new book, Prince William was beyond “furious” when King Charles teamed up with his brother, Prince Andrew, to fire one of Queen Elizabeth‘s top counselors.

In the book Courtiers by journalist Valentine Low, it was revealed that Prince William let his frustration known after King Charles and his disgraced brother led a coup in Buckingham Palace to get rid of Christopher Geidt, now Lord Geidt.

Geidt, a former military intelligence officer, worked as Queen Elizabeth’s trusted senior official for 15 years before getting booted in 2017.

He was fired after having arguments and fallouts with King Charles and Prince Andrew. The topics of their disagreements have not been revealed.

Prince William was unhappy with the firing of the Queen‘s private secretary because he credits him for taking the right measures to modernize the British monarchy.

The heir to the throne and others also believe that Lord Geidt would have made the right moves to prevent “Megxit” from ever happening.

The book quotes a royal source, who explained that Prince William, did not hesitate to share his unhappy thoughts with his grandmother and his father.

Prince William also spoke to the head of the Monarch‘s household, the then-Earl Peel Lord Chamberlain, about the ill-managed events.

Via The Mirror and The Daily Mail, the insider stated: “William was furious. He spoke to his grandmother and father. He felt Christopher had worked to modernize the institution and bring it closer together. He was concerned about the way it had been handled and how Christopher had been treated.”

The source went on to say that Prince William disapproved of the way the matter was handled.

The person claimed: “He was really angry about it, not necessarily because it was the wrong decision. He just thought it was handled very unkindly for a man who was a pillar of the institution of the monarchy but had also played an incredibly important role when the coalition government had been formed. It just seemed like the wrong thing to do to unceremoniously chuck somebody out for a reason that had nothing to do with what was the core part of Christopher’s job, which he was still doing really, really well.”

The source added Prince William and many others believed that Lord Geidt had the knowledge and ability to stop “Megxit” from taking place.

The insider concluded: “Lord Geidt’s sacking came as a great shock while many hold the view that had he still been around, the Megxit debacle would not have happened. He had his finger on the pulse, and people believe he would have found a way to pre-empt the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s departure, or at least found a way to make things work more amicably.”

Now, the two brothers are at odds with each other.
