There is a possibility that President Joe Biden will be attending important meetings and going to high-profile state events in a Speedo and flip-flops soon, according to a long list of commentators.
This week, the president caused major outrage with his decision to tweak his wardrobe. The former Democratic senator has dared to ditch his fancy Italian leather shoes for a pair of comfortable sneakers.
It is believed that Biden made the change because, while elegant, his leather shoes were one of the reasons that he slipped and fell while boarding Air Force One.
The other reason is that he is stubborn and would not stop jogging while taking the steps to get on the plane. Biden will be wearing athletic shoes only while traveling.
There was a lot of focus on Biden’s shoes on Fox News, with several reporters and commentators claiming it was a step in the wrong direction for the leader of the free world.
Maria Bartiromo, an open supporter of former President Donald Trump, slammed Biden by saying that he will now appear weaker in front of some world leaders because of his grandpa’s shoes.
She said this on her Fox Business Network program to further snark about Biden’s footwear. “Yeah. Changing the steps and the shoes is going to solve all the problems; all of a sudden, we will appear extremely strong on the world stage in both China and Russia, and all our international adversaries will quake in their boots. Obviously not. You can’t fix Joe Biden by fixing the shoes or the steps.”
The 80-year-old commander-in-chief’s footwear was also criticized on Fox News’s panel show Outnumbered.

Co-host Dagen McDowell ran an extra mile with the story, claiming that Biden’s more casual shoes mean that he is suffering from dementia.
McDowell said: “Well, I made a joke last night on Hannity about those shoes—my father will be 87 in a week—and to a man of that generation wearing those shoes, particularly as commander in chief in public, when you’re going on, this is formal business.”
McDowell went on to make the disturbing claim that Biden might as well have worn a Speedo and sandals to a funeral.
The TV personality shared: “That’s the equivalent of wearing your bedroom slippers outside. That’s like wearing a speedo and flip-flops to a funeral!”
Biden sometimes puts his foot in his mouth, but there is no chance on earth he will wear a Speedo anywhere.
