In the past few weeks, Kate Middleton has gone through a dramatic transformation that is raising eyebrows and questions. Since her return from Balmoral Castle, Kate Middleton has been racking up solo royal engagements.
Catherine, Princess of Wales, has put the spotlight on sporting events for the disabled and charities helping Ukrainians, and she teamed up with Prince William to mark Black History Month in the UK.
During all those appearances, the focus has been on Princess Kate‘s new bold, businesslike, and relatable look. Goodbye long dresses, fashionable skirts, stylish coats, and killer heels, Kate Middleton has morphed into a real politician and businesswoman.
It seems that many of Middleton’s looks have been inspired by Hillary Clinton. She has sported pantsuits in an array of colors and has also taken the sweater vest route.
Speaking to Express royal expert, Miranda Holde had this to say about the new wardrobe choice made by Kate Middleton: “It was announced earlier this year that the Palace would no longer release details of what and who Kate is wearing, most probably in an attempt to focus the world’s media on the important work the Royals conduct rather than their fashion choices, but despite this recent lack of information, Kate is still hailed as a fashion icon globally, with the ‘Kate effect’ bringing good fortune to the brands she champions.”
She added: “Perhaps this is why Kate’s image seems to have evolved yet again, with the Princess wearing more and more suits in her latest role, and wearing them exclusively for royal appointments since she returned from the summer break.”
It seems that Kate Middleton ditched her elegant clothes and fancy shoes to dim her light and sparkle to please Prince William after he made the decision not to take her to Singapore.
Royal author Robert Jobson told the Express: “It can be all about what the princess wears as far as the media is concerned, which means some of the big issues get ignored. When he is on his own, the coverage tends to be about the issues he is trying to highlight.”
Middleton’s latest appearances have put a bad light on Prince William. Whether she wants it or not, the future Queen is grabbing headlines more than ever and raising questions.
Many are wondering why such a dramatic change. Was Middleton dimming her sparkle, so Prince William and King Charles III could shine?
Why is the monarchy unwilling to let women be themselves?
