King Charles III is said to be suffering greatly from the fact that he has one grandchild he has barely seen and met.
According to royal insiders, King Charles is desperate to meet Princess Lilibet — the only daughter of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
He was introduced to his younger granddaughter briefly during Queen Elizabeth II‘s Jubilee celebrations.
His Majesty‘s aides said he was delighted and emotional when he saw Princess Lilibet for the first time.
That was in June 2022. King Charles has not seen Lilibet since then. The King has not been able to spend any real time with the child.
However, Markle regularly sends him updates on Archie and Lilibet via pictures and videos. Believe it or not, despite the chaos surrounding his son and daughter-in-law — the revelations, the leaks, and the most recent racist scandal — King Charles wants Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, and their young children to come to London for Christmas.
One royal source says that King Charles will always have his doors open for the California family.
The insider told Express: “But it now seems King Charles is desperate to see his grandchildren. He is said to be dropping hints to the Sussexes that the door is open for a Christmas return. The monarch is hoping for peace and positivity among his family.”
The person in the know said that the situation with Lilibet pains him greatly and added: “This is something that means everything to him. It pains him that he’s yet to meet Lilibet. He would love so much to spend time with Archie as well as Harry, whether it’s one-on-one or with Meghan there too.”
A friend of The Monarch told The Daily Beast that even after the racist/Dutch/Endgame scandal, His Majesty wants to keep the communication line open with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
However, it seems that all of his efforts were in vain because Prince Harry and his family have not shown any interest in traveling to London for the holiday.
This is why it is claimed that King Charles should reach out to the person who can understand his pain as a grandparent, Doria Ragland.
Doria Ragland, who is Meghan Markle’s mother, has helped raise Archie and Lilibet. Meghan Markle and her father, Thomas Markle, are estranged — which implies that Archie and Lilibet are only in contact with Ragland.
As a loving grandmother, Ragland would have empathy for King Charles, who has only spent a few hours with Lilibet since she was born.
Ragland is Markle’s closest confidante and has Prince Harry’s ears because she spent a lot of time with the couple in London and Montecito.
King Charles and Doria Ragland having an honest and emotional conversation about the need to bond with their two grandchildren would certainly lead to a breakthrough.
A conversation with Granny Doria would convince Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to travel more often to London with Archie and Lilibet.
If Charles does this it’s very clear that the only person that he thinks about is himself he will end up splitting the royal family up completely I think that he is of a state of mind that he should now retire from the job if he wants harry so much then give the job of king to someone that country comes first Charles is making me feel ashamed to be british
