Kate Middleton was set to make a public appearance this summer.
Due to unforeseen and dangerous events, Prince William and The Princess of Wales have decided to cancel their plans.
Prince William and Kate Middleton, avid sports enthusiasts, were eagerly anticipating a brief trip to Paris to soak in the colorful atmosphere during the Paris Olympic Games and cheer on the incredible athletes.
Catherine, Princess of Wales, always a trooper to represent her country, was planning to make the trip with her three children, Princes George, Louis, and Princess Charlotte.
PEOPLE Magazine revealed: “Some speculate that Kate Middleton and Prince William will travel across the English Channel for the 2024 Paris Olympics.”
The outlet went on to say: “The Prince and Princess of Wales, both 42, have been out of the public eye recently as they privately spend the summer with their three children. However, they may pop up in Paris this week before the end of the Olympics. Princess Kate‘s attendance may depend on how she’s feeling amid her ongoing cancer treatment. In June, she shared via a personal message that she experiences “good days and bad days” but expressed hope to join “a few public engagements over the summer.”
However, the trip is believed to have been canceled due to the tragic events and current chaos in the UK, which have deeply affected the Royal Family and the nation.
After the horrific killing of three girls at a dance class, speculation ran online claiming that the killer was a Muslim asylum seeker who had arrived in the UK by boat.
It was later confirmed that Axel Rudakubana, 17, who was born in Cardiff, committed the horrific crime. The authorities have since apprehended the killer.
However, via social media, the misinformation had already reached thousands, leading members of the far right movement to rise in countless cities across the UK, pushing anti-immigration and Islamophobic rhetoric, targeting mosques and shelters for asylum seekers.
The riots took over the UK after hundreds of counter-protesters took to the streets to fight back. Rioters destroyed windows of houses, stores, and cars and hurled objects at officers.
The disturbances spread to London, Manchester, and Middlesbrough. There have also been scenes of violence in Belfast, Nottingham, and many other areas.
According to the British government, more than 50 police officers have been injured in the past week, and over 400 people have been arrested.
UK Home Secretary Yvette Cooper said officers were still reviewing footage to identify “those throwing missiles, setting fires, looting shops, and attacking innocent motorists and passersby.”
The dangerous and dire situation in England has forced Prince William and Kate Middleton to remain in Scotland as the government takes urgent measures to resolve the matter.
