Affleck was very busy in California, working on various movies and spending time with some of his children.
However, according to a source who spoke to The Daily Mail, it was all an elaborate and risky plan to salvage the power couple’s two-year marriage.
The divorce has been averted after all. The pair came up with a bold strategy of spending time apart to realize and admit their love for each other, and their commitment to remain married.
During their separation, they made a mutual decision to address the issues that had been causing strain in their marriage and making them mentally miserable.
Lopez had some heavy lifting to do, and it seems that with the proper help and willpower, she did just that.
The mother of two resolved the key issue that made her life with Affleck impossible. The source told the media outlet: “Jennifer is hopeful right now about salvaging her marriage to Ben. She would not be spending time with his children acting in the role of a mom to them if she was not working things out with him or, at the very least, on the right path.”
The time apart served as a reminder of how much they cherished their relationship.
