Melania Trump is not watching this presidential election from the sideline. This time, the businesswoman with a book to sell has thrown herself into the political ring.
Mrs. Trump is doing interviews and releasing promotional and political ads. She is actively involved, asking questions about Donald Trump‘s failed assassination attempt and speaking out against those who seek to silence her and her spouse.
Melania Trump gives the image of a fighter. However, even a fighter like her is not immune to personal attacks.
The former first lady’s behavior and inaction are often slammed from the left, but most recently, she was rattled and reminded of her painful immigrant story by comments made by a close associate of Donald Trump.
Melania Trump might speak multiple languages, but she has often been the butt of the joke in the media for her heavy Slovenian/Russian accent when she is delivering speeches or conducting interviews in English.
Mrs. Trump has been reminded countless times that she is a foreigner who cannot string a sentence in English.
She has been laughed at for fleeing reporters not because she has no opinions but because of the language barrier.
Therefore, when Robert F. Kennedy Jr. said Vice President Kamala Harris was not “a worthy president” because she could not even “put together an English sentence,” it stirred some emotions in Melania Trump.
Kennedy, who dropped out of the race and endorsed Donald Trump, said the following about Harris, whose father is from Jamaica and whose mother was born in India: “I don’t think that Vice President Harris is a worthy president of this country.”
The 70-year-old added: “We need to have a president who can give an interview, who can articulate a vision, who can put together an English sentence, who can articulate her and defend her policies. And who can debate with, and regular debates, unscripted appearances.”
While the derogatory comments may sting, Melania Trump strategically chooses not to engage in a fight. Her focus remains on her ultimate goal of returning her husband to the White House.
Melania Trump and her father might be immigrants who came to America on visas, but she will remain silent while her spouse lashes out against documented immigrants in Ohio who he falsely claims are dog and cat eaters.
The former model always keeps her eyes on the ultimate prize. This is not her first rodeo.
