Sources told Page Six and The Daily Mail that the former first lady has renegotiated her prenup and has accepted to play the role of the supportive wife at various political events.
It was claimed that Melania Trump was getting ready to deliver some major speeches to ensure that Donald Trump made it to the White House a second time.
The same insiders explained that while Melania Trump is not a people person and does not like to mingle with Donald Trump’s touchy and nosy supporters, she is ready to do what is necessary to get him elected and avoid prison.
Those reports by anonymous sources were backed by Donald Trump’s own words. In a recent speech at a campaign event, the billionaire real estate mogul revealed that his wife will be present and very active on the campaign trail.
The former president stated: “She wants to make America great again, too. I rely on her for advice and all the others. I think she will be very active in the sense of being active.”
It seems that Melania Trump is saying not so fast. According to one political expert, the former model is not in a rush to throw herself or her son, Barron Trump, into the lion’s den for Donald Trump for a simple reason: to shield and protect her son.
Grant Reeher, a political expert, told The Mirror that if Melania Trump is forced to pick between being in the spotlight for her husband’s political ambitions and staying in the shadow of her son to have a normal life away from the media circus. She will not hesitate. Melania Trump will always put her child first.
He explained: “The family was very involved in the past two campaigns for president, so I’d think they would be involved again. From a distance, it seems that Melania became less enthusiastic about this role as the controversies and the scandals mounted, so I don’t know how involved she’ll want to be this time around.”
Reeher went on to add: “And she may be keen to guard Barron from becoming too exposed. Once you draw on your family, they become a fair game for the media and opposition research.”
Professor Reeher believes that Melania Trump, as a safety precaution, will remain far away from the legal chaos. Donald Trump’s adult children, who are all embroiled in the circus, will be present for their father.
He said: “His other adult children and in-laws were very keen to be involved in both his campaigns and his White House administration, and I see no reason why they wouldn’t want to do that again.”
