King Charles III feels more comfortable than ever with one major decision he made regarding his son and daughter-in-law.
The Monarch has once more been validated in his decision not to aid Prince Harry in his ruthless and endless lawsuits against the British government over taxpayer-funded security protection.
From his residence in London or Scotland, His Majesty is closely following the unfolding drama as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, his son and daughter-in-law, launch a series of bold accusations against American authorities.
In a heavily worded letter obtained by The Daily Mail, heads of Touchstone, the security company hired to protect Prince Harry and Markle, sent a letter to the New York Police Department for mishandling investigations of what the pair described as the “near-fatal” paparazzi car chase in the Big Apple in May 2023.
The letter boldly accused the police department higher-ups of “intentionally misleading” and “covering up” the investigation.
It said in part: “I am writing on behalf of the Duke of Sussex as he has asked that certain things be taken care of by this Friday as it relates to the incident last May in NYC before he moves forward with an official complaint to the Manhattan District Attorney’s office. Prince Harry and Markle have also demanded that the paparazzi involved in the car chase be arrested.
However, the NYPD’s top intelligence officer, John Hart, responded by saying the department did not have enough evidence to make any arrests in the case. He would like the arrests of the paparazzi to happen or have an official letter stating why they have not been arrested or a letter from the DA’s office on why they haven’t accepted charges.”
In the scathing email, Prince Harry announced his plans to file a “formal complaint” against the NYPD over their “handling” of the chase investigation.
Prince Harry and Markle have contacted California Governor Gavin Newsom in “an effort to escalate his requests to the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office.”
Prince Harry and Markle have insisted they were victims of a “relentless pursuit by a ring of highly aggressive paparazzi that lasted over two hours and resulted in multiple near collisions involving other drivers on the road, pedestrians, and two NYPD officers.”
However, the NYPD has made it abundantly clear that “there were no reported collisions, summonses, injuries, or arrests in regard.” There were “no collision reports, or 911 calls and the chase definitely wasn’t two hours.”
More than ever, King Charles is vindicated in his decision not to aid Harry in his lawsuits against his government.
Many had criticized King Charles for refusing to step into the drama to convince Prince Harry and Markle to bring Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet to the UK.
However, King Charles remained firm in his position, aware that the media and court circus surrounding Prince Harry would never end.
Royal reporter and biographer Ingrid Seward told Fox News:”I am sure that somebody talks to Harry, it just may not be his father. And in a way, that’s probably because his father doesn’t want to get involved. He hasn’t got time; he hasn’t got the inclination, and he probably hasn’t got the energy for what would be a potentially difficult conversation.”
King Charles has even decided not to communicate with Prince Harry so as not to be mentioned in his lawsuit.
A senior constitutional expert and advisor to the Royal Family explained to biographer Robert Hardman via The Telegraph: “Here you have the infelicitous situation where the king’s son is suing the king’s ministers in the King‘s courts. That is pulling the king in three directions. You also have the situation where the king’s son publishes accounts of private conversations, some of which have been, shall we say, wrong, they added, referring to the Times of London’s report that Harry “misremembered” several conversations involving the royals, which he aired out in his bombshell 2023 memoir, Spare.”
Prince Harry is on his own when it comes to this battles.
