The murder of social media sensation Bianca Devins at the age of 17 is still a hot topic in the press, and various new developments have recently surfaced that have painted the situation in an even more disturbing way.
New reports indicate that Jason W. Clark, the father of the alleged killer, Brandon Andrew Clark, has a violent history himself, which could shed some light on the behavior of his son.
According to the reports, the dad once threatened to kill the boy’s mother, Michelle Clark, in a way similar to what he allegedly did to Devins in the end when he was 12 years old.
It is not known if that was the only incident in the family, or if there was more history between the boy and his father.
However, many have started to speculate that the father’s behavior could have played a significant role in shaping the boy’s perceptions about the world, and subsequently pushing him to the alleged violent act.
While the killer’s mother survived, Devins did not have the same luck. The 21-year-old man reportedly slit her throat and then attempted to take his own life in the same manner, although he was stopped and saved by responding officers.

He was subsequently saved at the nearby hospital and has waited there for a couple of days before further proceedings. On Thursday, he was taken from the Elizabeth Hospital in Utica to the Oneida County Jail.
A mugshot put out by Oneida County Sheriff’s Office shows the young Clark with a knife wound around his neck.
Many were disturbed by the horrific killing, and the incident has also drawn some negative attention to social media as well.
Canadian singer-songwriter Nicole Dollanganger even had to ask people to stop sharing the gruesome pictures of Devins’ murder.
The 27-year-old artist wrote on Twitter: “While I know some of u are very well-intentioned, I ask that U PLEASE STOP sharing the horrific content her murderer distributed. PLEASE stop sending them to me.”
Moreover, some say the suspected killer might have been influenced by social networking channels and their wild environment.
However, most seem to agree that the main problem in this scenario is the upbringing of the alleged killer, and not the influence social media had had on his life.
Various aspects of the case remain the subject of ongoing speculation, as some are not convinced that authorities are revealing the full picture so far. If convicted, Clark could spend the rest of his life in prison.
