A few words from Leah Remini has made the impossible possible — unite supporters of President Donald Trump and President-elect Joe Biden.
Remini is often in the media sharing her experience as a former member of the Church of Scientology. She has several shows and documentaries dedicated to calling out high-ranking members of the controversial organization like Tom Cruise.
However, recently the King of Queens star briefly stepped away from the world of Scientology to focus on the highly contentious and controversial presidential election.
Over one week after the election, Trump has yet to really acknowledge that Biden is the new President with 306 Electoral College votes under his belt.
Instead of calling Biden to focus on the horrific coronavirus, Trump and his allies have been filing lawsuits and claiming voter fraud.
Remini is not focusing on the bitterness. She opted to share a brief message that highlights unity in this great country.
The Kevin Can Wait actress used a clip of CNN’s Van Jones breaking down in tears last week after it was confirmed that Biden defeated Trump in the tough fight for the White House.
While wiping tears away, the political commentator explained: “It’s easier to be a parent this morning. It’s easier to tell your kids character matters. It matters. Telling the truth matters. Being a good person matters.”
He added: “This is vindication for a lot of people who have really suffered. You know ‘I can’t breathe’? That wasn’t just George Floyd. That was a lot of people who felt that they couldn’t breathe.”
He concluded by saying this to MAGA fans, “sorry for the people who lost.”
The Second Act actress posted the video with this caption: “The character of the country matters.”
Remini went on to say: “Thank you for your showing your heart. I hope we find a way to come together.”
These brief words from the host of Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath won the hearts of many who back President Trump.
This Trump backer made the following confession: “Never expected Van Jones to make me cry…but he absolutely did.”
Another chimed in: “I actually voted for Trump, but this touched me. ❤️”
An honest Trump voter explained why she was moved by what she saw: “Also voted for Trump, both times, & I’m married to a man of another race & another country, but this touched me deeply & brought tears to my eyes.”
This prolifer shared her personal thoughts on social media: “I stand by my vote for Trump. I stand for unborn babies and disagree with Biden’s policies. But I can still have sympathy for someone of color.”
One of Biden’s supporters called for unity by penning this message of hope for the country: “I see good people exist on both sides. I’m thankful you voted – glad we all have the right to vote. Now it’s time for you & me – all of us, to come together & start putting America before all else. Our best laws, amendments, etc., have come from a Congress where both sides sat down & let go of things they really didn’t need, in order to allow the other side to have something in the law they DID NEED. It’s not a two party system (mainly) just because – it’s there to have the brightest of minds find solutions and make the LAW the best for ALL Americans. GOD BLESS YOU & YOUR ENTIRE FAMILY AND LET’S START WORKING TOGETHER AGAIN. ❤️❤️❤️”
Remini has opened an interesting conversation for the country.
