Queen Elizabeth Rules Out Abdication With This Comment — Prince Charles And William’s Dreams Are Put On Hold

Queen Elizabeth Prince Charles William Abdication

After almost 70 years on the throne, Queen Elizabeth II has faced many reports about abdication. Some experts predicted that she would step down to let the reign of Prince Charles begin finally.

While others have claimed that Queen Elizabeth would prefer to step aside for Prince William to become king.

Prince Charles dreams of making significant changes to the monarchy when he takes the throne — he plans to slim down and economize.

Those sources say Prince William is much younger and in tune with the world and would help modernize the old monarchy.

His wife, Kate Middleton, an educated and doting mother with high approval ratings, is seen as an asset to the kingdom.

However, Queen Elizabeth has hinted in a statement that she will not abdicate. This week, the aging Queen, who is always on the go even when she has to use a cane, was told by her doctors that she needed rest.

In an official statement issued by Buckingham Palace, it was revealed that Queen Elizabeth, 95, was forced to cancel a trip to Northern Ireland and “reluctantly accepted medical advice to rest for the next few days.”

The statement went on to say that Queen Elizabeth is doing well and disappointed to annul her two-day trip where she was scheduled to meet locals and schoolchildren.

A Buckingham Palace spokesman said the Queen would visit at a later date and added: “The Queen has reluctantly accepted medical advice to rest for the next few days. Her Majesty is in good spirits and is disappointed that she will no longer be able to visit Northern Ireland, where she had been due to undertake a series of engagements today and tomorrow.”

The Queen’s representative added: “The Queen sends her warmest good wishes to the people of Northern Ireland and looks forward to visiting in the future.”

The Queen confirmed that she would keep busy with a statement to decline an award. Her Majesty politely but firmly refused the Oldie of the Year trophy because she believes, “you are only as old as you feel.”

In a letter via her top aide, she said: “Her Majesty believes you are as old as you feel; as such, The Queen does not believe she meets the relevant criteria to be able to accept and hopes you will find a more worthy recipient.”

A royal expert interpreted the subtle message as a sign that she is “not going to step down” despite being ordered to rest.

Royal commentator Angela Levin shared: “I think that the Queen’s comment that you are ‘as old as you feel is also a nudge to let us all know she is not going to step down as Monarch.”

The Queen is expected to fly to Glasgow later this month to attend a climate change event.

In a past interview, Queen Elizabeth’s cousin, Margaret Rhodes, said that she would only contemplate abdication if she got “Alzheimer’s or have a stroke.”

In 2022, Queen Elizabeth will celebrate her Platinum Jubilee — 70 years on the throne, and she plans to attend various events, parades, travel all accross the country, and take part in virtual events.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are expected to attend.
