At the end of this week, Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, will embark on a high-profile trip to Europe.

The couple is set to spend a few days in Holland during Invictus the Games.

This will be Meghan Markle’s first international trip since she stepped down from her royal duties in early 2020 and relocated to her native California with Prince Harry and their son, Archie.

The couple has since welcomed a new addition to their family. The former soldier and American activist are also the parents of a baby girl named Lilibet Diana.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will be greeted with some fanfare and be hit with a royal snub while visiting The Hague in the Netherlands.

It has been confirmed that the Dutch authorities have extended the highest level of protection to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

While Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will get armed protection from Dutch police during their visit to the Netherlands, their private security personnel will not be allowed to carry weapons.

According to The Mirror and The Express, the sporting event is “regarded as a high-profile event warranting protection by the Dutch national police’s DKDB Royal and Diplomatic Security Service and another other state security service.”

The Dutch media is also reporting that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will be facing a rather embarrassing situation.

Markle and her spouse have not been invited to stay with the Dutch Royal Family on the trip or receive an audience with King Willem-Alexander or Queen Maxima.

However, Prince Harry and Markle’s decision to be at the opening ceremony has caused an uproar among royal fans and Palace insiders because earlier this month, they refused to be by Queen Elizabeth II‘s side during Prince Philip‘s memorial or Thanksgiving service.

Prince Harry, who is embroiled in a lawsuit against the British government over security concerns, claims that it is too dangerous to travel to the UK with his family.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are also being blasted because while they will be just a few miles from London, they have no intention to attend Queen Elizabeth’s 96th birthday next week.

While dissecting Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s jaw-dropping decision not to return to the UK, a royal expert revealed that it has “nothing to do with safety, but him feeling wanted.”

According to author Robert Jobson, Prince Harry’s absence from the UK mainly has to do with his memoir that is due out later this year, his discomfort with Queen Elizabeth’s announcement that Camilla Parker Bowles will become Queen when her husband, Prince Charles, takes the throne.

It is believed that Prince Harry will dedicate a good portion of the book to his complicated and somewhat broken relationship with his stepmother.

The royal pundit explained that Prince Harry’s pending memoir and rift set the scene for some unsettling family dinners and conversations that he will try to avoid at all cost.

The writer shared: “Back in the UK, particularly with his own family, his pending book means he is not cut the same slack. His tome is likely to tackle his tricky relationship with the Duchess of Cornwall, who was confirmed as the future Queen Consort in February by our Queen and is probably the real reason he is staying away.”

He added that Prince Harry must be dreading certain questions and added: “Can you imagine how excruciating it would be over dinner if somebody was to ask what’s in the soon-to-be-published Random House book about them?”

The prince is not ready to face his family.
