Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Issue Bold Statement After Being Mocked At Queen Elizabeth’s Jubilee

Prince Harry Meghan Markle Statement UK Trip

A lot of ink has been spilled during Prince Harry and Meghan Markle‘s recent trip to London to attend Queen Elizabeth II‘s Platinum Jubilee celebrations.

And the renegade royals, who are not afraid of controversies, have decided to hit back with a very bold and cheeky response that takes a shot at those who will not let them be.

The power couple stepped down from their royal duties in early 2020 and are no longer working royals. Since “Megxit,” Markle and her husband, along with their two children, have been living in California.

The power couple has been working to be financially independent by signing various deals with Netflix and Spotify.

Prince Harry scored a huge contract with a publishing company for a tell-all book due later this year.

Last week, Markle, Prince Harry, and their young children — Archie and Lilibet — traveled to England to attend Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations.

As nonworking members of the British royal family, Prince Harry and Markle were not allowed to stand with Queen Elizabeth on the balcony of Buckingham Palace.

Queen Elizabeth, who is focused on the future of the Monarchy, made two appearances on the balcony and posed with the heirs of the throne, Prince Charles, Prince William, Prince George of Cambridge, and Kate Middleton.

Prince Harry and Markle were not invited to many of the festivities, including parades and concerts that were held in honor of the Queen.

The British prince and the former American actress were asked to attend only one event — the thanksgiving service for the Sovereign at St Paul’s Cathedral.

Prince Harry and his spouse were seated away from the rest of the senior royals, including Prince William, Prince Charles, and Kate Middleton.

During the trip, Markle and Prince Harry kept a low profile. They avoided public outings with their children and did not commit the ultimate sin of overshadowing the Queen during her special celebration, but they were still criticized by the media.

Royal experts claimed that Prince Harry and Markle were now second division royals.

It was also claimed that the former soldier and his spouse had been publicly demoted and humiliated as B-list celebrities who suffered a fall from grace.

Royal commentator and author Richard Kay characterized the duo as follows via the Daily Mail: “Harry and Meghan’s studied efforts to avoid the limelight during the Trooping the Colour ceremony, where they were reduced to mere spectators, was perplexing…”

He went on to paint this unflattering portrait of Markle and Prince Harry’s stay and status while in London: “As nonworking royals, they are now very much in the second division. And although spared the indignity of sharing the coach that brought a clutch of minor royals who similarly do not do official duties, such as Princess Michael of Kent’s son Lord Frederick Windsor, they were only just behind them.”

Kay added: “This at least allowed them to walk the length of the nave together alone. And, with the eyes of the 2,000-strong congregation on them, it must fleetingly have reminded Meghan of that glorious May day four years ago when they were the center of attention at their Windsor wedding.”

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle decided to hit back over the heavy criticism of their decision to avoid the limelight with a mind-blowing message.

The controversial activists also poked those who cannot accept the fact that they have moved on from being working royals for good.

In a statement to PEOPLE Magazine, a source close to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry explained that the trip to the UK was focused solely on Queen Elizabeth.

The statement read: “They aren’t part of the [working] royal family anymore, and that’s a decision they have taken — but maybe [the public] hasn’t quite accepted that yet. Yes, they were low-key. They paid their respects and went home.”

Some observers say this might just be a PR spin.
