After more than 30 million people watched Harry & Meghan, Netflix’s biggest documentary since the launch of the streaming giant, the Royal Family is set to be hit with new revelations that they probably would prefer to keep hidden.
It has been revealed that Donald Trump is writing a book. The real estate mogul, who recently launched a very timid third presidential campaign, has decided to publish a book in 2023.
According to CNN, the former president will drop a book of letters. Trump has collected private letters from high-profile celebrities, including Barack Obama, Princess Diana, Michael Jackson, and Elton John, through the years.
The former president followed the tradition of leaving a letter to the newly elected politician to the highest office in the land.
Trump said it was a beautiful letter but has kept the content private. Trump has also written back and forth with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un while in the White House.
However, the most captivating letter might be from Princess Diana. Over the years, Trump has built up a lot of anticipation and speculation around the nature and content of the letter.
The Republican businessman told Howard Stern in a past interview that King Charles’s ex-wife wrote him the letter as a thank-you note for doing her a favor.
Trump declined to reveal how and when he helped Princess Diana. Donald Trump said that the late Princess sent him the note in 1997 and added: “She wrote me a letter about a couple of months before she died thanking me ‘because I did her a favor for something. She wrote me a really nice letter.”
Trump has a rather odd history with Princess Diana. After news of her divorce broke, Trump flooded Princess Diana’s Kensington apartment with hundreds of flowers.
British journalist Selina Scott revealed in the Sunday Times that Trump gave Princess Diana “the creeps” and added: “As the roses and orchids piled up at her apartment, she became increasingly concerned about what she should do. It had begun to feel as if Trump was stalking her.”
The former reality TV star revealed in multiple interviews that one of his only regrets in life is not dating the humanitarian.
Stern asked Trump: “Why do people think it’s egotistical of you to say you could’ve gotten with Lady Di? You could’ve gotten her, right? You could’ve nailed her.”
Trump responded by saying: “I think I could have.” His obsession with Princess Diana was front and center in his book The Art of the Comeback, where he wrote: “I only have one regret in the women’s department—that I never had the opportunity to court Lady Diana Spencer.”
Trump aides told CNN that the publication of the letter coincided with the political campaign in order to make more money.
An aide said: “Sounds like a money-maker for sure.”
However, the Royal Family will probably not be smiling as they watch this unfold.
