King Charles III is learning the hard way that someone will leak his private confessions and thoughts to the media. If not by Prince Harry, it will be done by a close friend or a dinner guest.
This week, the King held a fancy dinner at his castle Clarence House, and there were many high-profile guests in attendance.
Camilla, Queen Consort, and His Majesty delighted the invitees with delicious food and wine, but everyone truly wanted what was outside the menu.
The rich and powerful people at the gathering were eager to know King Charles’s true feelings on the damaging revelations and painful accusations made by Prince Harry in his bombshell book Spare.
To everyone’s surprise or amusement, King Charles did not hold back and spoke his truth about the bombshell book.
King Charles revealed to the elite at the dinner that he would “shy away from a bitter battle” with his youngest son.
Writing in The Daily Mail, royal expert Tom Bower revealed: “At a recent private dinner for friends hosted by Charles and Camilla at Clarence House, the King’s guests were taken aback by his obvious reluctance to confront his son Harry over his disloyalty.”
Bower continued: “In the face of multiple smears, indiscretions, and provocations, Charles betrayed one of his cardinal weaknesses: a constitutional unwillingness to confront personal problems head-on. Rather than fight for an important principle, Charles disclosed to his guests, he preferred to shy away from a bitter battle.”
To the best of his abilities, King Charles is taking the high road despite the many vile and disturbing revelations made by Prince Harry.
In the best-selling tell-all memoir, Prince Harry obliterated his father for marrying the “other woman” who destroyed his childhood.
He accused Camilla, Queen Consort, of leaking terrible stories to the tabloids to save herself and bamboozle the British people into thinking she was worthy of being their Queen.
He went into great detail about his painful fights with Prince William, and he pitted Kate Middleton against Meghan Markle, hoping the readers would side with his wife.
A friend of King Charles spoke to the U.K. Sunday Times and said the situation is difficult because the entire family feels that Prince Harry is holding a gun to their heads with his devastating words.
The person revealed: “Right now, he’s holding a gun to their heads. And nobody knows what will be acceptable to him as appeasement. His goalposts are constantly shifting, and the family is always going to question some of his versions of events.”
The Duke of Sussex is planning a second book.
